I should have known when Lionsgate made the proper choice to appease the angry fans by releasing the final seasons on BD, after they initially cancelled plans for any more after 6 that these would be much more scarce than the first six mass produced seasons (which are still easily available).

Stripped down with no slipcovers, and very basic menu screens, seasons 7-9 were still very welcome, but limited. I checked Amazon frequently early last year, and the prices were absurdly low between $8-$12 per season.

Good luck now. People that have their copies, are most likely those that will keep their copies. Rare beyond belief. Sucks for those that never completed their sets.

Glancing over the Warner list, don't see 5 Digibooks listed that appear OOP. Checked Warner Brothers site and none available.

The Killing Fields (Digibook)
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (Digibook)
Papillon (Digibook)
King Kong (Digibook)
The Man Who Would Be King (Digibook)

According to Shout Factory's website The Vampire Lovers is OOP (though it still seems to be available via Amazon for a reasonable price):

I managed to pick up two of those for a cheap price on Amazon still just a couple months ago, eight was already rare and expensive then (but it wasn't too crazy, should've gone for it then). Now eight is even worse, it's beyond insane prices for eight. The other two were still available for decent prices as recently as a couple weeks ago though, but it sounds like they might have taken off too.

It is probably a safe bet that they are no longer available anywhere at reasonable prices. $80-$150 used on E-Bay about average per set.
Still can't believe I saw them as low as $7.99 on Amazon. I'm guessing Lionsgate was just clearing the remaining stock out.

Season 8 is rare even on ebay. Only one copy for some time now and it's listed at an insane $499!

looks like the other two as well now, no current listings of the other two anywhere for sale now

I think it's a safe bet that any Warner title that's gotten a re-release under the Warner Archive Collection banner is probably OOP in its previous edition. So far, these are the titles that apply (minus ones that are already listed in post #4 of this thread):

DigiBooks:

Non-DigiBooks:

The WAC editions of Driving Miss Daisy and What's Up Doc? are scheduled for March 16th.

I could see King Kong and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest ending up with Criterion -- they released the laserdisc of King Kong and usually try to relicense laserdisc titles if they can. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest seems a little too "big" to get the WAC treatment, though that may be 2017 thinking. A 4K is a possibility too.

I was about to say that Cuckoo's Nest's DigiBook edition is OOP, but the Ultimate Collector's Edition is still around. But apparently, it's not. Price for a new copy at Amazon is currently $100 ($50 MSRP). Didn't imagine it was OOP yet; it wasn't all that long ago (maybe a year back; two at the most) that I got the UCE at Wally World.

erlinmeyer are we **sure** Papillon (Digibook) hasn't been oop for a **very** long time??? Here in UK people would rather buy a French copy with English audio, then blame every one else when the discover forced french subtitles, rather than buy an unlocked digibook with out any forced subtitles

Got mine there June 2019. I figured when these UCE's showed up there for that cheap, it meant they were going OOP. Online prices make me not sure if Town and Argo are OOP, but this one certainly seems to be.

Default Alice Cooper: Detroit Stories (Deluxe)

The limited edition box set of "Alice Cooper: Detroit Stories" is either OOP or very close to that. It contains the exclusive "A Paranormal Evening With Alice Cooper" blu-ray.

Default Criterion

Paramount is releasing these titles now, so these Criterion titles might be going OOP. A few of them are listed as "CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE" on Criterion's website (unless that only means they are out of stock from the recent flash sale).

"Currently Unavailable" usually does mean they just ran out of stock, but will be reprinting them. That said, some titles have remained that way for many months, due to the pandemic, probably.

I suspect these are not OOP, Criterion is pretty good about labeling titles like that as "Out of Print" on their website.

But, of course, it doesn't hurt to be safe, if anyone has been on the fence about these titles.

Worth pointing out that, as far as I understand it, people are still waiting for packages from the flash sale, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're not fully restocked from that yet.

When Criterion licenses a film from a studio, the studio usually retains the right to release their own version, or keep their existing version in print. Criterion keeps the rights to any extras they produced (not sure it that latter part is still true, but I think it probably is).
