Speaking of Warner Bros releases, The Mummy (1959) looks to be OOP:

Going for scalper prices on Amazon and it says "Sold Out" on Best Buy.

Maybe Criterion has re-licensed it.

Yep, it's been "gone" for a while. I'm hoping this means that WarnerArchive is planning it for a re-release a la "Curse of Frankenstein." It surely would be the next most logical Hammer candidate they have. This disc had no extras.

LOVE this thread! Thanks for this so I can continue hunting down these OOP blu-rays that I missed out on. There are sadly SO MANY GOOD ONES!

We need a similar thread for movies that are available in other countries but not the USA and vice versa. Unless we do already... anyone know? Thanks

Is Reality Bites OOP or just between pressings?

It is still in stock on Universal's for sale site (Gruv) so just as a precautionary measure, I would pick it up asap for $15 . Great movie that I own .

This seems to be OOP. I hope someone rereleases it because I just discovered it.

I realize that but I just meant a list similar to this thread where it lists movies available overseas but not here. I don't think I've seen a mega thread with that information.

Yeah that has been out of print for quite some time unfortunately. I used to use it a couple of years ago and sold it for cheap. Definitely regret it now.

It is very little effort to do as I describe. You might be aware that when this happens, the same movie from another country may have different extras or the sound/ picture on one might be better. There are threads to guide you on these things. Each to their own, by all means.

If it makes you feel any better, the current $85 used copy on amazon is just above half what this was selling for last year. So glad I grabbed this when it in print, and thanks to Hollywood video for having that "Island of the Fishermen" dvd (alternate title) that got me looking into it, then having that dvd be gone when the store liquidation sale started, keeping me hunting

I do this as well already. I also use caps-a-holic to compare quality between releases too.

With the sequel coming later this year I can't imagine that they'd let the first film go oop any time soon.

Weird how every other retailer has stopped carrying it all of a sudden.

It may be between pressings. When warehouse stock runs low you'll see it disappear from most retailers. Within the next 4-6 weeks we'll see if it pops back up again or disappears entirely. My hunch is that more copies are being created and we'll see it pop back up.
