I speculated Criterion nabbed it for BD only, but with the news of them finally going 4k I wouldn't be surprised.

Not to mention it and Citizen Kane are both Warner, and both were Criterion LDs.

The WB Citizen Kane isn't OOP, so King Kong has a good chance of getting a Criterion release regardless.

The availability of certain Olive titles seems to be pretty sporadic sometimes. I'm honestly surprised they're still around.

Sucks when a title goes OOP. I hadn't even realized "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" from Twilight Time was out of print until I saw it listed on e-bay. I didn't even know a Blu-ray copy existed.

Picked up the cheaper 50th anniv. Japanese version (essentially the same with English audio/captions too).

before I really got into TT, I keep hoping Indicator releases this someday so I won't have to pay Fleabay prices.

Yeah. I would like to have it. But I don't want to pay $175 for it. :/.

I just bought the Japanese release instead.

I kind of like the more vibrant cover. But I made a custom cover. It's still has english audio and captions. The menu is japanese. So I have to work around it a bit, but I only had to pay $20 or so for it on Amazon. Should still be around if your interested.
