So I have no idea how accurate this is, but HPB seems to believe the “It Came From Outer Space” 3D Blu-Ray is out of print and worth $50….?!?

Amazon currently has it in stock for $9.99. It was originally released in early 2017 as a Best Buy exclusive that eventually became available wide-release.

I don't know where they're getting their prices, but they are out of their minds.

I was going to say that they probably checked ebay and looked at the for sale auctions instead of the completed auctions, but nope, they are selling for way less there.

They tend to do that certain titles. Especially Criterion.

I've actually seen people get HPB to check prices online and get them to reduce the price at my branch on items like this.

That's interesting. I've never had any luck with haggling at chain stores that price using internet/research. Sometimes their workers can be lazy and you might find a solid deal and other times they may be at the highest auction prices. For example, sometimes there will occasionally be Criterion blus priced at like $5-$6 when they're usually in the more predictable range of closer to $20. One thing that is kind of irritating is when new releases are traded in and the "new release" used price sticks around for months/years if it's still on the shelves.

Did Stone Cold (1991) from Olive Films go out of print?

I tried to order it from ebay and Amazon Marketplace and both orders were cancelled. Prices for new copies have jumped double in price as well.

You're better off grabbing the German copy since it's in 5.1 stereo and the Olive is in mono IMHO

The first run was signed and limited. Probably seeing some of those, and some sellers are mixing up their standard discs and asking limited prices.
Thought the covers were identical, but the signed ones do say "special limited edition on front". Otherwise, they look pretty much the same.

The signed ones do tend to balloon in price. I'm pretty cheap and tend to skip those to save the $5 per release since autographs aren't something I collect.
