That probably means we're getting close to an announcement on the 4k Upgrade that's coming at some point this year. Announcements are due in a week or two for June so perhaps we'll be seeing AOD then.

Back in 1998, Warner recalled the DVD release of The Little Shop of Horrors because one of the special features, the work print of the amazing original ending, did not have its rights secured from Frank Oz. That DVD was one of the earliest scarce and valuable collector's items on that new home video format. It was very hard to find a copy. Just before they announced another release a couple years later, all of a sudden there were many of those original copies that hit the market, some from collectors, but also from a few retail outlets (the re-release did not contain the original ending as was thought at the time). Ever since that time, I have noticed, time and again, a dump of copies from online retail stores that were previously OOP, on the heals of a new release announcement.

I have every reason to believe what you say will happen.... an official 4K release announcement very soon.

Just found a copy of this in a thrift shop in its original slip box -- it's a Fox title from 2011 that looks to be OOP based on the price/availability info I'm seeing online.

He Walked by Night sounds interesting but can’t find any UK sellers with a similar price to the website and the site only ships to the US.

Crime of Passion is expiring on The Criterion Channel if you want to try before you buy. It's also on Prime streaming, but the print there is oddly inferior, even though Amazon owns MGM.

I love Barbara Stanwyck, but this is easily the worst film I've seen her in. The concept sounds great on paper, but it's mostly dull until the last 10-15 minutes. IMO, of course.

I almost blind-bought it over the weekend, forgetting it was on the Channel. I'm glad I was able to see it before parting with my money.

Yes. The Synapse version was rushed out to beat VS. And I'm not sure it was authorized completely.

Amazon recently sold out of their allotment, and this one is nowhere to be found, other than a few copies on ebay. Considering it is Sony MOD and not a big title, this one is very likely gone. RIP the movie Floyd was watching on his TV and smoking a bowl lol.

Tried, they just refunded me. Looks like it is OOP, it's not even available as a special order at Bullmoose which is usually my bellwether.

PS. MovieZyng emailed me after cancelling to confirm that Freejack is being discontinued. I've asked them if they've heard if any other titles are receiving a similar fate and I'll post if I hear more back.

There is a new release (December 2021) limited edition mediabook available in Germany which isn't on the database here. Probably uses the same master.
