BDs That Are Out of Print (OOP)

It was mentioned a couple years ago, but "A Fish Called Wanda" appears to be (slowly) going OOP; the MGM release specifically.

The French version might be still available but the US set from Carlotta Films U.S. (Kino) is apparently gone. So glad I grabbed it early on.

All foreign copies. I checked every mainstream site and no USA copies. One overpriced copy at Barnes & Nobles if that's even to be trusted. USA release appears to be gone.

It hasn't been long enough to know, really.

Only a couple months ago it was widely available for normal price.

Basically how it works is, the very instant Amazon doesn't have something in stock, the marketplace/ebay sellers double or triple their prices. Which in turn makes everyone immediately assume the thing is out of print.

That said, with it being steelbook only and a Netflix film to boot, I could see it going out of print. We just don't know if that's the case here.

El Camino is OOS at every major US retailer. I looked last night and didn't see any available copies at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart or Target. Bull Moose doesn't have it available, it's listed as "Rare item - We will try to get it for you!". Barnes and Noble might have it but it's listed at $40.99.

This was released as a limited edition steelbook and it might be gone now. Finding it in stock at some random retailer doesn't mean it'll be widely available going forward.

To OP: Vincent Price Collection (vol 1) is back in print. I just bought it off Shout's website directly today. Given that Kino picked up some titles from vol 2, probably 2 and 3 will stay OOP.

Importing is not the point. I have been region free since the dawn of Blu-ray, and there are specific American releases that I want and a Region B release may not necessarily satisfy (and sometimes vice versa).

Defending people that make ignorant and condescending remarks is not a good look, just FYI.

It's still available from Amazon and some retailers, but the price is up.

Yeah, I am not waiting on these. Hopefully they put out a box set later for those who miss out and those who haven't yet discovered The Little Rascals. I'm not taking any chances...

There are some silly people on ebay, but the last 18 or so copies have sold for $30 or more and the 2 active auctions are already over that mark. A couple selling for that could be panic, this many sounds real to me.

No longer even found on Amazon, and the purchase/bidding on ebay starts around $60 now. Definitely OOP.
