Only their first edition is OOP. BU reissued it with a slightly different cover to cover-up the girl's naked butt possibly so it could be shown on more sales sites. But I believe everything else is identical between the two editions.

Thought it would sell out the release year, I guess the Halloween just gone was the final push?

Great set, possibly never to be replicated with all the different rights holders. Would suggest getting this while it's available, one of the best sets I own

It's in stock through a secondary party, but not Amazon itself.

I just presume when this is the case it's because the company has leftover stock but no new copies are being printed. I.E Out of print?

Maybe I'm wrong.

For example, if you're willing to pay silly money you can pretty much get any OOP title through marketplace sellers, where as they're OOP at places like Amazon, Zavvi, Movietyme etc.

It was supposed to be my gift this Christmas

I should have bought it before with my own money. Already having several versions of some of the movies available in this set from different countries in multiple editions certainly didn't help.

Straw Dogs (1971) might just now be OOP, only available from other sellers on Amazon, plus no longer available from Foxconnect.
I have also noticed plenty of new and sealed copies are showing up in $3.99 Movies U Buy bins at certain grocery stores (shown below).
I found copies of MGM's Dark Blue in the same bin, that one has been replaced with an Olive release.
I went and picked a copy of each.
