The guy I saw playing RDR was still able to earn trophies, so I assume his stats were being updated as well. He could even invite others to come and play.

Yeah, but did someone "play" it? Or, was it a "re-publish"?

If it was played, it should show who played it. If it's Tom Molecule, or Spaff - it was the MM staff.

If it was republished - that means that guy managed to get on line to the community levels.

It was played online by NanoNeya (PSN ID) 15 hours ago via LBP2.

I think the point Maximus and this post is making is that there seems to be "progress" in the testing, not that some random guy managed to get online. It's very likely that the person is signed into PSN through some developer network.

I'm not sure what to make of the Killzone screenshot though, I see a few usernames but no idea what that really means heh.

Good point but after watching the video a few minutes ago and checking for a list of supported games (by the software they were using in the video), Little Big Planet doesn't appear to be supported by that software. It's hard not to be skeptical over something like this though but hopefully it is indeed a sign that the internal testing is going on. Edit: Killzone isn't listed either.

It says this level was played. LBP is a PS3 exclusive. Most likely part of a connectivity/performance test for the servers.

Yeah, LAN usage would do nothing for LBP. You need to connect through the LBP Servers to play community levels (which requires you to be logged into PSN to even view).

Sounds like a "test".

That guys Ghostbuster level was recently added to the "MM Picks". Meaning, if someone wanted to do a quick test, they go to MM Picks (easily selected at the menu screen) - and hit "Play" on the first level shown - which would have been that Ghostbusters level since it was the last one added.

Good sign.

AT this moment it means NOTHING.

Its very premature to post this stuff as though the PSN coming back up is imminent because its not.

I thought people would have understood by now that getting your hopes up is not a good idea.

In short, I suggest we refrain from posting insignificant things like "LBP person signed in" or "select testing is going on" until we here an actual date that things will come back online.

Look, Im just saying all of this stuff that has people "wetting their pants" is just silly insignificant stuff and its all being blown out of proportion.

Until we hear something from Sony that says it will be up and running shortly or we get confirmation in the wild of people actually using the PSN, anything else we see is just silly speculation.

With all due respect to Maximus I think he made a mistake in posting this stuff.

Having said all of that....
I hope I am wrong and it means that the PSN will be up in a matter of minutes!!

I will be more than happy to come in here and face the music, but I suspect everyone will be too busy playing online!
