Then some people were having issues yesterday, and apparently even the Playstation.com website was down for maintenance, which seemed to point that it was a whole new issue that was on Sony's side now. As of last night, I couldn't log in either. The issue over the weekend may have been isolated to a non-Sony side issue, but this newer one since yesterday may be on Sony's side. Throw in the possibility that it may be a renewed attack/residual damage from Anonymous not to mention everyone's (including my own) perspective on what is going on, and you're looking at a state of mass confusion. I'll just wait until later in the day for this thing to hopefully resolve itself. In the meantime, back to some more GT5 B-Spec'ing for my Bob so's I can get that Air of Experience trophy ![]() |

1. Restore otheros (much more wordy version) 2. Drop charges on there members that have been arrested 3. Do not press charges on people who watched videos of jailbreaking ps3s or people who visited sites giving explanations on how to do it. I think there doing this about num 2 personally. ![]() |

I've been having the same issues... I've found that if I turn off and back on my PS3 again and then manually sign on I'll have no issues, otherwise I have to repeatedly attempt to log in, and auto-sign on has been bunk for a few days now anyways.
I actually thought my phat 60gb ps3 was finally biting the dust until I saw this thread. |

Those of you asking for freebies after the PSN returns to normal, you are dreaming some pretty big dreams there!
The PSN has been down like this before. Nobody was ever "reimbursed" for temporary lack of access to a FREE service. PS+ Members already get free and discounted content... so you have nothing to complain about. Those with Netflix might have something to argue about. However, there isn't much they will be able to get out of it since your Netflix account still works on every other electronic device you own. I hate to burst everyones bubbles, but I'm just being realistic here. ![]() |

Doesn't Netflix on your PS3 use the PSN account to authenticate? I'm not really sure how Netflix using other players works, do you need to use a sign-in id and password?

SCEE just spoke up about the recent PSN issues, claiming an attack of some sort from an outside party:
"As you are no doubt aware, the current emergency outage is continuing this afternoon and all Sony Online Network services remain unavailable. Our support teams are investigating the cause of the problem, including the possibility of targeted behaviour by an outside party. If the reported Network problems are indeed caused by such acts, we would like to once again thank our customers who have borne the brunt of the attack through interrupted service." Anonymous is claiming innocence on this one, but either way this just sucks ![]() ![]() |
