Why after x amount of months, would criterion redo Drive this year or next year? We already own it.

If we the public enjoy it we want more and of course the movie studio's are more than glad to cash in but I know what you are saying,I'm glad Spielberg was against making a sequel to E.T. and of course there are some films that would have been better just leaving them as a one off considering the second offering that was dished up.

Id only want a Drive sequel if it was Refn directing again and Gosling was lead of course. Its unlikely but possible.

Didn't Refn say last year that he was interested in doing a sequel? I can't find the article, but I could've sworn he said he wanted to do it.

That's what I thought. I thought I remembered reading an article saying that he was going to start working on a sequel in the near future.

After reading that above link it seems Refn won't be at the helm, which is a shame.

A sequel would single handedly phuck up the integrity of this film. Making a sequel to Drive would be the cheesiest thing to happen to cinema since I've been alive. Completely unnecessary

I imagine a lot of folks felt that way about Terminator 2, Spider-Man 2, The Matrix Reloaded as well.

F.U.C.K. the sequel, as much as i love the movie and i really do, this one, leave it ALONE! does not need a sequel. Im not against sequels at all but this one doesn't need one.

Yep, really want one but not getting my hopes high until i hear atleast some mentioning about it by the studio or director(more recent talk).
