Watched for the first time today and it was excellent!
But, even with the objections here, I stand what I've predicted earlier in this post: "Drive" share a lot with "Taxi Driver", and not only because of the title. The movie is built the same way. It's not the same story, but if you compare the characters, the mood, the evolution of the actions made by the main character and why he does them... you can see the similitudes. Anyway, both movie are almost perfect in my opinion! Oh and, what a Soundtrack!!! The music is awesome and the sound quality is very impressive. I have to buy that movie soundtrack! I gave "Drive" a good 4.5/5 and it's my favorite 2011 movie with "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol"! |

The two that are most readily available (the UK editions of Bridesmaids and Valentine's Day) are apparently 2-disc-sized so we're gonna have to look elsewhere. |

To each his own, but...
I absolutely loved this film and saw it twice in theaters. Going to revisit this weekend. I can't understand how a movie like this can get more customer raves compared to Bridesmaids-- That movie was complete and absolute shit. I MAYBE laughed once, and it was Jon Hamm, and that's it. McCarthy was not at all funny, Wiig was better in Paul and so many prolonged awkward moments in it. And all those "poo-poo pee-pee haha" jokes are so cliche and not original. Whatever. I know what I love and don't. |
