So I was able to grab the US release for next to nothing, and after viewing it the picture looks to be much clearer than the CA release from what I'm seeing. Less of a yellowish tint as well, everything looks much more natural too. The CA image felt like a really good rip off the film, just not a fantastic transfer like the US and some of the scenes looked much softer.

I got the Finnish version, pictured below (sorry I don't have any actual photos yet). It comes with an embossed and reflective slipcover. The film is on a BD-25, but hopefully that's just because there aren't any extras taking up space. Also, the back cover states that it has DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1. I haven't yet had a chance to see if that's true, but aren't both the US and UK versions 5.1?

They did on January 31st. The leftovers were sold online for 45 bucks.

I actually have both of those fan made posters. The Ken Taylor print is getting framed so it'll be ready by Saturday afternoon. "CA" meaning Canadian? Can anyone verify that there's a significant difference in quality? Do I need to reconcile myself to owning the worst blu-ray cover in history for the sake of a superior transfer?

Yeah, that's pretty much the same thing my parents said when I showed them the movie. Odd that he wouldn't just take it. Maybe he felt it wasn't morally right? But then again, pretty much all the stuff he did wasn't morally right, so there goes that theory, lol.

I personally haven't seen the US transfer, but I own the CA version and I must say it's excellent quality. One of the best transfers I've seen on a blu ray. I didn't notice any yellow tint, but then again, I wasn't nit-picking like all these pretentious people that want 1080p x 100000000000 quality.

After several viewings, I don't think money means anything to him.

Look, we know Driver worked as a mechanic for half what the position was worth. Shannon contested to that. So we all know Driver wasnt one to be motivated by money... but still, at the end of the film, Driver had no money and no job.

I dont care what you want or what drives you, we all need money. And, according to news reports, "NO MONEY WAS STOLLEN FROM THE PAWN SHOP" - So no one was looking for money -except- maybe the East Coast Mob, and they had no idea who had it, as Mr Rose stated.

So Mr Rose alive or dead; no one would have found the Driver once he left town. Instead he left town broke, jobless and alone.

I think that Bernie was going to take the money for himself and go far away from LA.

[Show spoiler]Before the meeting they had at the chinese restuarant I think he'd told the east coast mob that the driver was the one responsible for taking the money so after the whole stab fight they got into he left the money with bernie so that he could be made to look like he also had something to do with the money, but since he'd already been revealed to the East Coast Mob then the driver decided to leave LA to get away as to not put Irene and Benicio in danger.
