In the booklet it comes with it says that there is a HT System calibration system easter egg.

Has anyone used this, and is it any good? Does it help to maximize your blu experience?

Buy or rent ratatouille for a guided calibration tool

It's on all (or most) Sony titles... type in 7669 and hit enter (7669=sony)

It's been a long time since I looked at it but I think there are typically 4 or 5 test patterns and I don't think there are any instructions.

Nope . . . no instructions at all. I think Paidgeek posted somewhere about how they are meant to be used. I'll see if I can find the thread when I get some time.

The Ratatouille brightness tests are a bit more accurate, but everything else is basically the same.

It takes you to the calibration mode on the BD so you can adjust your tv or monitor for optimal video. It took me a couple tries to get the code working at first.
