I hope Hoult gets that role. Instead of saying he 'feels the need for speed', he could fly around taking out MIGs shouting 'what a lovely day!' in the cockpit.

Whiplash is a great movie. But it's been a couple years since I've watched it, and I'm not too sure that if I watch it now that I wouldn't be rooting for J.K. Simmons to just kick the living crap out of him for real.

I was really rooting for Glen Powell. With Miles Teller in the role my interest in this has dropped dramatically

Except it did, and no he wasn't.

I like the guy in some roles - Footloose, for example - but I don't care for him in his more serious stuff, and don't like him for this. I am sure he will be fine. Powell just would have been better.

Not really, the meds he takes make his tongue swollen and prevent him from speaking very well and he has a tough time holding his head straight, it really breaks my heart seeing him like that, even though a lot people in the business hate his guts for mistreating his coworkers and crew. I thought awhile back I read that he's expressed regret for his past behavior in recent years, acknowledging that he had a huge ego back in the day, and that his health issues have given him a new outlook on life and made him remorseful for how he used to be.
