were getting major good titles from our studios paramount may have 10 tops we'll have more than that come next year... I think all this is a little over the top we have great studios and now adding fox to that + blockbuster , target ... thats the real key playing to the dumb people who cant look at a 1080i v. 1080p and understand that you pay for quality just gotta keep shoving BLU-RAY SOLD HERE in there face, cause lets face it lots of our country men/ women are frickin retards

I really hope that some people who have been blu-ray supports don't switch over.....because that's what the HD DVD camp wanted, which is why they paid $150 million dollars to Paramount. I don't think it's a good idea to show them that their money was well spent.

Some of the FUD resulted in exactly this effect. Some others have decided to go back to DVD and forget the whole thing.

*shrugs* It just didn't take much to rattle some cages, I guess.

Default Food for thought.

Here's my analogy of yestdays news.

HD-DVD and Paramount are engaged.

About a month before the wedding, you find Paramount giving "Uncle BDA" a "Monica Lewinsky"

In complete denial of the situation; (and frankly feeling embarassed of the size of their "30 gig" disc, as compared to the size of Sony's "50 gig" disc) HD-DVD continues to desperately impress Paramount with unwanted "IME" trinkets.

In the meantime, Paramount is keeping HD-DVD around because they like being sought after, and the unending pursuit by HD-DVD helps inflate Paramounts' ego.

So how pathetic is it, that after all the failed attempts from the bride-groom to bring back his unfaithful fiance that his best friend (Microsoft) has to pay $150 million for a not-so exclusive bedding arrangement? This will also allow Paramount to bed "Uncle BDA" and his "50 gig" whenever the "Speilburg" urge arrises?

... and WE'RE pathetic?

FOX's titles will more than counter Paramount, what I want to see before the end of next week is a BDA announcement of Warner support, Star Wars exclusively on BD, or something of that magnitude.

BDA has to anounce something more. otherwise they don't deserve to win. I believe something really big is in the works. MS ***** ass, just pissed off 185 corporations invested in blu-ray. You really think Pannasonic, Sharp, Samsung, Sony, LG, Disney, Fox, Sun Microsystems, Dell, Apple, Phillips, TDK, etc. are gong to sit arond and take MSs BS. IMO if anybody is going exclusive now, they will be going BD exclusive.

I think what would benefit the cause more would be not something such as new releases but new releases with features that HD couldn't touch. There is so much more you could do with BD. Unleashing the full power of BD-J. I know they have some stuff with Day After Tommorrow and ID4(2 releases I'm sure to buy) but something that makes it even more obvious why BD trumps HD.

If HD-DVD can buy a studios support despite being on it's death bed, something of this magnitude, another example would be a $200 player, is absolutely crucial.

BD has SONY, FOX, DISNEY, SPIELBERG, LUCAS etc. onside, it's time to use that influence.
