Interesting. The last big Paramount wave was MetalPak. Did they make the switch?

Why so many re-releases? Warner is in control of so many of Paramount's library that you would think they would be releasing titles that have yet to find their way to blu-ray! Its so frustrating that they sit on these titles and keep releasing titles that have been available for years!

I picked up the War of the Worlds metalpak, so I can't buy that again. The only other one from that list that I would consider upgrading would be Saving Private Ryan.

Going to have to be some pretty special artwork on these to convince me to double(or triple)-dip on pretty much all of them

Especially since Transformers 2&3 just bottomed out at Zavvi.

Why couldn't Paramount introduce more new movies that we haven't seen in steelbook format yet? Someone misread that US Steels memo

The only ones I would get at the Star Trek ones. I have the entire metal pak wave and even though they are SB's no need to double dip.
I might get Saving Private Ryan.

The only one I would think about getting out of those, depending on the art used, is Minority Report.

Paramount kept control of the titles listed in the first post.

Depending on art, I see a lot of double dipping in my future.

I might as well stop buying amaray cases & wait for steel/digibooks.

Are these going to have an artwork theme like the Universal Reel Heroes releases?

This is what I do. The only time I buy an amaray is if it is under $10 and something I am pretty sure won't get a steelbook.

It has to be the 2010 version doesn't it as Warner now distribute the original film?

It could be either one but like you I'm thinking it'll be the 2010 version.
