I was hoping A.Madrid would do it tonight but it was not the best final but tired of seeing Pepe cheating antics in the game.

That's why I don't watch a great deal of continental football, there's still a load of cheating in the English game but the foreign leagues take it up a notch which I can't stand.

You will see a lot of it at international level we will get it at the Euros.

Ugh, don't remind me. I got all excited today when I realised the Euros are just a couple of weeks away but in reality we're in for an alternate take on the European Diving Championships. Sad thing is, until England learn how to "manage" a game like their euro/world cousins then they'll keep getting dumped out of tournaments early doors. Tough old group for Ireland though tob.

Rubbish group geoff but i have no expectations on us but i would like to see a improvement compared to our last outing in Euro 2012.
I think England will get qualify from their group.
But can't wait geoff should be a great tournament.

Hopefully the Irish can upset the Italians again, I still remember Ray Houghton scoring that cracker in USA '94 with Terry Phelan running in to mob him.

Not long after that he became a Palace player did Ray, I'll always have a soft spot for him. Phelan played for Palace too a bit further down the track and I still don't think we've had a better crosser of the ball since he left, though Stevie Staunton was a good 'un too. Saw him score from practically the half-way line at Selhurst.

Leicester are looking close to signing a new keeper and a new defender. I know some of our defenders are getting on a bit, but I would have figured our main concern right now is strikers. We haven't really got a single consistent goal scorer on the side. Especially after selling off Kramaric before he ever even got a chance.

Yeah, he had that great streak which really beefed up his goal scoring record this season but he isn't someone who you can rely on tapping every ball that is fed to him. He's more of a pest, a player to put pressure on the defence to allow the attacks to progress, than the guy who scores all the goals.

24 goals is a regular goal scorer man! . All strikers have patches where they don't score. You have very high expectations mate.

Exactly. If we want to defend that title, to go far in the Champions League we need a more consistent striker.

Eh? I think Vinny is PERFECT for Pearson. Maybe they'll dramatise the bit when he held down James McArthur by the throat, oh what a "character" he is.

As for Vardy himself, Arsenal might as well test the waters with a bid. If they can get half as many goals out of Vardy and keep Giroud fit and firing (alas, poor Welbeck, I knew him Horatio) then who knows what might transpire?
