Personally, as infuriating as it can be to be a fan of a smaller club at times, surely being a Chelsea fan is so boring. You can't afford to go to the games in the first place, but who cares? You know how it will end anyway, they will win. There is no fun in winning when it's expected, the fun in winning comes from the triumph. In my opinion anyway.

Yes, not much achievement in buying the title. Sad, but it's the way it is now. The days of Blackburn and Leeds winning title are long long gone.

There has to be a point where this is going to all implode, though. In the span of about two decades players went from a hundred thousand to thirty million. The money has gotten so big in football it defies belief.

True but not at the same level as now. Takeovers of top clubs these days pretty much ensures that team will be a top 4 club for decades to come.
I include man City and Chelsea in that. Back then, 5 million was a fortune lol.

Hi man. Well, results went our way today for once. I'm going to say 2-1 to us!

You guys are a bogey team for us though so my brain is telling me take the point! It's my heart that keeps shouting for the win. . I think you guys have two very good wing backs who could hurt us on the break. That's my fear. Hopefully Fletch will continue his good form.

By the way, sorry Pizzamorg, I see you guys lost. Need a striker like us in the window!

I didn't get a chance to catch the game because I was at work but I followed it on Twitter and even the LCFC Twitter couldn't find much good to say about the side during the game so they ended up just promoting Southampton. I dunno whether to laugh or cry.

After last year's surprising loss to you guys I definitely hesitate to pick us as the clear favorite, but I believe right now we're a bit better than you. We'll see, it could easily end up being a draw.

I only watched the second half (woke up too late), but I wasn't impressed by either side. There was a few chances created here and there, but overall I was disappointed with this one. Our defensive wall was a joke when we conceded that free kick goal by Larsson, and you guys got lucky Wickan didn't get sent off shortly after. I'm surprised Baines was able to squeeze the ball under your goalie like that for the penalty.
I must admit we got lucky at the end there when McCarthy scooped the ball off the goal line when Howard was beaten.
I guess all things considered, I have to be content with the point, but I'm really not. Now that we're part of the Europa League, we can't use that as an excuse for not being ready to play these PL matches.

The ref completely failed to spot Howard handling the ball outside the area even though the entire crowd saw it. Should have been straight red and a free kick! It was a penalty for everton I think but the ref had a shocker. Overall, I'm disappointed because we can't seem to keep a lead. I agree with you, both sides were poor although Fletcher looked a lot sharper. You guys brought a lot of fans up so respect to them.

Ahh, I along with the commentators saw the replay about 10 times, and not once did we see Howard touch the ball with either his hands or arms. He merely laid on the ball, which given the circumstances was an ingenious move. Of course the biast home crowd saw it differently. Come on Steedeel.
