Geoff, I have had to create a new post because it won't let me edit. To address your point about Pants, I think It is simply to get the wage bill down. This financial fair play rule is doing what I thought it would. Affecting smaller clubs (hate that term, we are one of the best supported teams in league lol) more than top 4 etc..
I said back in August, the lack of investment would doom us to certain relegation and It looks like we are going to be punished (the fans suffer not the players)

Palace are in the same boat, we won't be able to buy anyone unless we can offload some personnel. I think the Cabaye deal in the summer was under threat because of this, but selling Murray gave them just enough FFP breathing room. Still, Adebayor's a free agent (he can even be signed after the window closes) so that may make him the most cost-efficient option for us. Sadly.

Couldn't believe Austin went for £4M though! When I said earlier in the thread I wouldn't have him that was with the £10M-£15M outlay that I thought he'd command, but for £4M I'd have snapped him up.

I see Danny Graham's gone out on loan Steed, you'll be gutted about that I'm sure.

Austin was a surprising one. I know he is suspect in terms of injury, but even so, that is cheap

Yeah, Danny Graham! We are making plenty of noises about a new striker but we will end up with that loan signing

Should be an interesting game tonight, after we cheaply threw away victory last time. Ranieri's new style of play is not working for the players he leans on the most, so I'll be interested in how he approaches this.

Another awful first half from Leicester. We're good when we need to be, especially in defence, but most of the pressure on us is created by ourselves, it's just baffling tactics from Ranieri. The tactics he used at the start of the season worked so well, so why has he changed? Even as things go from worse to worse for us while sticking with these tactics?

All the positives really fall on Gray, he is having lots of lovely little nibbles especially for a young player new to the side. If we can hold onto him even during this tepid time for the club, I can see him becoming a central piece to our squad.

Leicester will lose this game though, as soon as Kane comes on this game is over. I predict three one to Spurs.

Didn't happen tonight but you beat 'em in the league, I'd have taken that over progressing in the cup if I were in your shoes. Alas, there'll be no such luck for Palace vs Spurs on saturday, I think we're in for another hammering. Nothing's clicking at the moment and we couldn't score in a brothel.

Mate, I think you are setting your standards way too high. Leicester are punching above their weight. To be where they are is incredible at this stage of the season. Not sure you can ask for more at this stage? Just enjoy it mate, this is why we follow our teams. In the hope we might have seasons like this. It was never going to be a case of playing superbly all season. They just don't have the resources to compete with City, Liverpool etc.. In terms of amazing football. They have played to their strengths and they have done it bloody well. It doesn't matter if you struggle with Bournemouth etc.. These teams are in the top flight for a reason and they are desperate for points. Every game is a new challenge. sure Leicester might be running out of steam but my goodness, you are second!
