Oh I know, I wasn't writing the above post whilst contemplating jumping off a bridge, as I said I thought the Hammers were due for such a win (they have a cracking record at Selhurst too) and Palace are always shite after the international break anyway. Still 9th in the table, we've got a genuinely exciting team and things are looking up. But yeah, I never watch MOTD unless we win.

Sorry about your guys though, but I'm writing no-one off yet because this has been a habit with Sunderland and I don't think you can deny that!

Haha I'm not sure you'd want to my friend. Ours is a frustrating affair at times too. Perhaps from the standpoint of not having to worry about relegation year in year out. That I could understand.

It really is a write off this year Geoff. I guarantee it. The squad isn't as strong as last year, and it was weak as piss last year. We are a laughing stock and even the Boro are above us.

As for Palace, those are the signings we crave. I think you will have a good year.

I wish it wasn't a way of life up here, but it is. Heartbroken mate. That's the truth. Especially everything with big Sam. To then see what happened afterwards, I sometimes think this club is cursed. Big Sam, who virtually guarantees safety and the prospect of a better season gone up in smoke.

Well guys, it's the annual trip down misery lane (playing at West Ham) a gallant first 25 minutes, followed by a sorry performance for the rest of the game, we lose, nothing happens rinse, repeat. Defoe is starved of service, the back line perform like the Chuckle brothers and West Ham fans try to smash the away fans coach Windows.

That is all.

Good luck guys, hope you have a better day than me.

No such luck here, Palace are 2-0 down at Leicester, not that I was expecting much. But Pizza will be pleased, possibly. You know how much he moans when they win, never mind when they lose.

I didn't bother with the Leicester game as napping for my dinner party seemed more important and obviously the one time I don't watch Leicester seem to have their game of the season. Musa's first goal, a rare one from Fuchs, we didn't get a clean sheet and you could argue that with the results elsewhere the three points don't mean too much in the grand scheme of things but we're two points further away from the relegation zone than we were last week which is nice and it's nice to do it in such convincing fashion. Hopefully we can turn it around and salvage this season, still early days yet.

Well done anyway, we've both got 11 points now.

Hard luck Steedy.

Saw it coming mate. We are pathetic. Moyes needs to go now and we need to replace him with Eddie Howe. Bright young manager to get us back up And keep us there. This is one of the worst times in my life being a Sunderland fan. It's really grim and the club have killed the fans.

The change of manager won't stop the problem just delay it for another day.
The mentally is all wrong at the club from top to bottom i think you even said that steedeel and the worst one's are the player's.
The club has to look at player's like Michael Keane for example at Burnley someone who is not high profile but has a good work rate about them among other qualities and has a desire to play these are the player's you need for the right recruiment at the club instead of paying big wages for the bigger club's cast offs. But if more clubs has a plan to work with and not afraid to stand by it then in time it will work but Sunderland have nothing like that in place their only plan is put their only chip on the manager and when it doesn't work replace him.
They need to shape up that squad get rid of the player's who don't perform but instead the club rewards them.
Also the football like i said above is a number of things that has to change just look at Swansea for example they have their style of play of quick passing counter attacking football that every manager they did hire has to keep that in place when they were appointed and they have from Rodgers, Martinez,Laudrup to the current boss Bradley.
Swansea has done more than Sunderland since they were back in the Premier League on and off the pitch that shows that Sunderland need major work now for a better future but right now it just continue on with the same at the club of low expectations like fighting relegation every season, the change of manager again and again.

We have been shopping at pound land like Mark Lawrenson said. I agree about the manager Tob but we need someone dynamic who can connect with the fans. That's assuming any rumoured takeover goes ahead. If not, well there is no hope.

Didn't expect Chelsea to dominate United like that.

I agree, the Mourinho brand is losing a lot of its lustre. And no, I'm not saying that on the back of a single defeat but the way his career has gone these past few years, his tactics have become ever more negative both on and off the pitch.

I've always liked the guy, especially when he said he'd even manage Crystal Palace if it meant being in London for the 2012 Olympics. His tongue was firmly in his cheek but I still appreciated it, and he really did did give us all the credit in the world when Pulis' Palace beat Chelsea 1-0 at Selhurst 3 years back (which I was there for, last time I saw Palace play in person) but now he seems like such a sore loser and I'm getting tired of seeing his sour mush everywhere.

He is a hypocrite. He (IMO) slammed Sunderland for putting 10 men behind the ball in a game several years ago but did the same himself a few times with a squad worth around 500 million!

Good luck guys.

Gunners tomorrow and I think it might turn nasty off the field. The clock is ticking for Moyes.

I’m conflicted as to tomorrow’s match as you are my friend ....I also go thru the same conundrum when thee Arsenal plays Crystal Palace because of Geoff (and Kayla). Anyway, yes, good luck to all. An unexpected Premier League bonus for me this year has been watching Man City try so hard to pass the ball out from the back….and waiting for the opportunists to pick it off and score easily.

I hope Claudio Bravo and the back line doesn’t disappoint this weekend.

Do you think David Moyes has much time left steedeel the only time Sunderland came back in too the match was the second half before the penalty.
The penalty for Sunderland was the right decision by the ref but he got it wrong before that with Sanchez for us when it was a clear for everyone to see.
I am happy we are top of the league so far and hope we can keep this good run going as we have tough fixtures in November against the likes of Spurs and Man.United.
