Geoff, I think you're being too harsh. Winning the league would be a pretty admirable accomplishment given how little money they've spent on players as compared to Chelsea, but looking at the future fixtures, I can't see Chelsea not winning the Prem.

Geoff, already discussed your game but it's a full house for the gang this week. We are all down in the dumps football wise.

And that coming from an Arsenal fan! Sorry Mr P, I know several Tottingham supporters and the sense of entitlement they still carry around with them ("we won the double in 1961!") is unreal. In one way, winning the title would actually justify their arrogance but on the other hand it would inflate their heads to planet-sized proportions.

But yeah, it's Chelsea's to lose and I'm very glad about that.

I’m a fan of Celtic too.

Also, I’m a big fan of the Scottish FA’s rule 201. After this past weekend, the FA governing football in England could learn from their northern neighbors on that.

One dive could potentially cost a struggling club at the bottom of the EPFL to be relegated down to the Championship and lose millions of dollars in the process, not to mention break the hearts of their supporters.

Some of the incidents I saw in the EPL at the weekend makes me wonder how some of the defenders keep their discipline in the face of blatant and somehow accepted cheating.

I would be punching the divers left, right and centre if I was in those defender's shoes.

Diving in the game will never go away but one thing UEFA and FIFA that i like to see player's punish for where you see it more in the Champions League is when a player gets fouled and when he is on the ground he is looking at the ref gesturing a card that should be shown and that to me is a low thing to do and its something they can act on in the game.

I thought I had heard before the last world cup that Refs were allowed to take a zero tolerance approach to players demanding that others to be carded and that it was a straight booking if they did.

I've yet to see that happen once. Even the new rules for crowding the ref seem to have been forgotten.

That's right they did it for the last World Cup Martoto but i see it more in the game today not so much in the English game but in Spain and other countries.

To let you guys know i contacted a Mod on the Sports Forum yesterday about changing the name of this thread to World Soccer.
I sent a Mod a private message about this yesterday and no one had the decency to get back to me even though they had been on the forum today so there is nothing else i can do.
