But you have the parachute payment from the Premier League and your right the club is in debt but you can still bring in players next season.

Arsenal with the typical too late May surge. Well, it's down to a tough final game vs Everton and either City or Liverpool choking vs relatively weak opponents. Don't like those odds but anything can happen. Given that I don't see Arsene leaving I would much rather be playing Champions League football so we have that selling point for the players we want to keep or god forbid attract here.

Some fans take pride in the fact we have qualified for the Champions League season after season but i see it as a failure and not learning from it when we are in it and remember we have taken a step back this season in the league where we are not even close to be serious contenders so if we can't do it in the league then you are not going to do it in Europe. Another reason i don't want to see our club in the Champions League is i don't want to see our reputation destroyed every time we play the likes of Bayer.M or Barcelona who are on a different level to us so if Wenger gets his act together in the transfer Market and put together a good squad with a backbone from the defence to the attack then its a start but that won't happen. |

Bah. We couldn't even turn over Mourinho's kids, such is the spell that Utd hold over us in the Premier League. 8 played, 8 lost. Pffft.
Still, we finished 14th after all that. Fat Sam actually said he was aiming for Palace to win that 'mini-league' of the bottom seven clubs and we've done just that, leaving Swansea, Burnley and Watford behind us on top of the three relegated clubs (sorry again, Steedy). I'd have bitten your hand off for that in mid-December so well done Allardyce and well done Palace. Next season is uncharted territory for us (5th straight season in the top flight, this includes the pre-EPL era) so will the board stick or twist? I only know one thing: it's gonna be a rollercoaster as it always is with Palace, so strap me in and let's go again. ![]() |

It was special day at Celtic Park yesterday on the final day of the SPFL season.
The supporters put on a display to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the "Lisbon Lions" team winning the European Cup. And what a display! ![]() ![]() (It wasn't until after the match that I actually got to see the what the display looked like!) Then it was down to the business of completing the league season unbeaten! And in that sense it was business as usual for Celtic. An opener from Leigh Griffiths followed by a close range second from Stuart Armstrong allowed Celtic to put on a bit of an exhibition for the remainder of the match, with Patrick Roberts the star entertainer. ![]() |
