Regarding the Blu-ray news item at the top of the page (at least currently in the News section, at the time I'm typing this)…. http://www.oscars.org/press/pressrel.../20091105.html

definitely, if you’re a Hotspur supporter as I would like to see Arsenal qualify for the Champions League without any problem.
I’ll tell you what, I’ll probably be attending Cinegear again this year ( http://www.cinegearexpo.com/category...iere-seminars/ ), so if you think you may be doing the same, PM me and we’ll talk football over a beer (cold one) somewhere on Melrose.

P.S.
b.t.w., attention, L'armée, scroll down on that Cinegear link and see After Earth. When it’s announced for Blu-ray, you can add it to your list accordingly.

As far as Swiss Family Robinson, I don’t think it’s out on Blu-ray (yet) but its scanning papers be 4K pin-registered scans of the Cinemascope negative and YCM masters on a Northlight scanner.

Color graded @ Laser Pacific by a scruffy-looking bright guy who goes by the name of Lou….Levinson ( http://www.hdexpo.net/virtual/panels/hfm11.html < old panel but that be Lou )

What a hilariously tiny difference in those AMAZING SPIDER-MAN caps.

Absolutely a tiny difference, but a difference nonetheless. I'm not sure that's worth it though. Maybe when it's discounted heavily. Ghostbusters looks a lot better though. Contrast isn't overblown.

Okay, so the contrast issues with Ghostbusters have been fixed, but grain looks awfully smooth and there seems to be a distinct teal tint that was not on the original release.

Now if only we can get an update on the 4K disc of Spider-Man. That one had a weaker transfer and it was one of the few I really hoped would be re-released. If it's improved, dramatically, then I really want to pick that one up.

The amazing part is that there IS a difference. I fully expected them to re-use the same disc.

Ghostbusters looks much-improved. Seeing nothing wrong with either the grain or the color.

Definitely liking the new GHOSTBUSTERS. Not seeing any teal push, just a much nicer image.

And yes -- kind of surprising that you can see a difference in the two SPIDERMAN images.

Thanks for the caps!

1. I don't see a teal push at all.
2. The grain looks normal, not exaggerated by having the contrast blown out.

Shame no Spidey 1 pics.

Maybe I am imagining things and I have been staring at my computer screen all day. I'll look at them with fresh eyes later.

I said in the thread there would be noting in this one, the RED colour scheme would make the changes negligible
Mind you there is more detail due to what must be higher bitrate
