With this concert tour link, does anyone know what be the 4K transfer to upcoming Blu-ray editions? - http://www.barbrastreisand.com/us/ne...r-dates-europe

If not, this be an auditory aid (L'armée, it applies to all regions, Germany, Italy, Japan (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-W...Blu-ray/72620/ , etc. )

I’m not really a Facebook type of guy, but your post ^ and that of ROclockCK compelled me to check out each labels respective Facebook page for the first time.

Wow, this comes as quite the revelation to me as I never knew this because I don’t have the time to get involved in the minor distributors and their day-to-day business practices esp. in regards to social media.

Whereas I notice that TT has decided to endorse the rant of “The inimitable” goes toe-to-toe with one of his favorite foes, the dreaded internet forum boards... ” April 23rd entry – https://www.facebook.com/twilighttimemovies

Someone b.t.w. whom I’d never heard of before, but have since been informed has been suspended multiple times by the administration of this forum for antagonistic social behavior....which actually brings up an interesting question as to how many suspensions are needed to invoke a banishment status?

Anyway, on the other hand, ‘Olive’ does not involve itself in such childish nonsense when I read the entries from its FB page -
https://www.facebook.com/olivefilms

Not to mention that ‘Olive’ freely links reviews from Blu-ray.com whereas TT seems to have an aversion to doing so, despite the fact that during the format war it was clearly evident that Blu-ray.com championed Blu-ray for its technical superiority over HD DVD contrary to some of those other forums (to which TT readily links reviews) whom, on the other hand, were quite partial to favoring HD DVD during those times….either due to technical ignorance or other things.

So, long story short, given that context, as a member of Blu-ray.com I think it’s time (and deserving) to nominate a mastered in 4K title from ‘Olive’ to your list…

L’armee you can add this title…https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Betty...Blu-ray/74378/

James, your nomination above reminded me of France, which in turn reminded me of Two For The Road.

Well, that particular motion picture (TFTR) received a 4K restoration, so L'armée, tuck that chip away to play for another day. Hopefully we won’t have to wait for its 50th Anniversary.

Thought Penton might be interested in this...

Wonder how 4K 3D will be affected.

I’m not surprised as the lack of attention/interest given to 3D at the last NAB was almost embarrassing. 3D at home (at any resolution) really needs glasses-free displays now and I just hope the 3D aficionados can hold out until then.

As far as getting 4K 3D HFR at widespread commercial theatrical venues, that will incur a significantly expensive upgrade for which few theatre owners are ready to absorb. Going to 2K 3D HFR was peanuts compared to the overhaul needed for 4K 3D at your local Cineplex.

yes, Yes, YES, it’s Coming soon!....(the movie to Blu-ray).

All you need to know – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ed#post7325145

Plus, I guess for this thread…a 7th Amazing Fact. Spring Breakers was shot on celluloid (and for those Aaton inquiring minds out there – it did not use the digital variant of the Aaton Penelope, e.g. http://www.fdtimes.com/2010/02/23/aa...ope-d-digital/ ),

and of course to qualify for the List, it received a 4K scan by Warner Bros (MPI) and a 4K DI conform by Cinema Pixel.

So, The Hobbit we are seeing on Blu-ray is really from 2K? If so, I think it just goes to show good good 2K can look (surely because it stemmed from higher resolution sources). The detail on the disc is phenomenal.

With regards to the second ‘Yes’ post on the last page, seems to me yous wants something more profound , e.g. the science as to the reasons why.

Well then scroll to ~ the 31 min. mark of this technically-intimidating-looking YouTube clip with the B4 and PL mount lenses and be cerebral cortex enlightened…https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ce#post7641514
