I never said he owed me anything. But when you state you got a big announcement, and don’t come through, theres no point in telling people about it. Let the news break naturally.

That's pugnacious nonsense you're talking.

He's under an NDA, thought it was going to be lifted, and so told us he'd make the announcement here. Then Sony contacted him and corrected him, saying the NDA was not lifting, so now he cannot reveal what he knows without permanently damaging his relationship with Sony. Sony was supposed to reveal the information sometime today or yesterday, but from all I can find online they haven't done it yet. My guess is that it's not a huge deal anyway--probably just the pricing and release date info, as tommyboy81 speculated. We'll find out soon enough.

Will there be shootout TV Screens with 4K disc images from the Panasonic UB820?

It would be interesting seeing, evaluating UB820 playing 4K disc images onto various brand TV's as well as the Master Series Sony's and interesting if there was along side a Monitor display to judge image quality(level/accuracy of movie director's intent).

I ask about use of UB820_____for the OPPO 203 is no longer easy to get. And Sony x700 won't image to LG Screens. Samsung disc players won't image in Dolby Vision.

For most many of us at home, or ready to buy one of the new Displays... a big decision factor for what we like to buy is how well the Display image 4K HDR Disc movies.

People, members on free forums, are usually the biggest customers, the ones who spend the most money on products they advertise and sell, plus all the Blu-ray movies.

A bunch of people could use a cold one right now with all those forest fires and heat.
