And for OLED go best go Panasonic.
Second Best, Sony.

LOTR. Bob.

You're post is on point. Honest. Accurate.

Though my 65 G6 OLED, I feel is maybe more Awesome. As Vincient of HDTV reviewed. It's very worthy of the EXTRA bucks. I know for I have the award winning E6 OLED as well. G6 blows E6 away.

And Yes. It has Passive 3D as another Biggie.

It depends, the Z9D 3D is active; I like it. Others prefer passive 3D.
But passive 3D are from 2016. Be happy with what you have, it's among the best.
I feel sad, similar to Oppo, no more 3D in the new Z9F.

I prefer Bob. Like I said above in my reply to the other member.

I've always thought Active 3D from Sony was shite, from the moment I first saw it in 2010 right up to now on the ZD9. Other people say it's amazing, so maybe my eyes don't work so good with active or something.

I'm sure the Z9D is fine. If the Z9F gets price put out there soon and it's way too rich for my blood, the Z9D is something I'm going to try and hunt down.
The black smearing on the 65ZD9 is, like a lot of these things, something that depends on your particular sensitivities as to how much it'll bug you, but you'll never how much/little it'll affect you unless you see it for yourself in your home viewing environment. Temperature plays havoc with it as well, it's been hot as balls for the last couple of months and I can't remember the last time I even saw any black trails...but in the winter months it's really quite awful with certain content unless I let the TV warm up for a good hour or two.

I think it looks pretty amazing and way more detailed than the 3D with my old Mitsu DLP. When there isn’t crosstalk that is, which I had never experienced with the Mitsu so maybe I just notice it more now with an LCD.

It's the crosstalk I'm referencing here, yes, the actual 3D effect is fine and dandy but **** me the crosstalk is terrible. As I said, I've seen major crosstalk on every active Sony 3D TV I've ever seen (I used to sell them, so I've seen a few, and have owned three different models myself) but to other people it's a very minor annoyance. I think that, as with the black smearing, it's something that greatly depends on the viewer's own tolerances.

It’s always cool in my man cave so if it’s going to depend on temperature, that’s a concern. Thanks for the info.

Kinda itching to get a 75" Z9D, just because 3D.

Will have to decide soon before they all sell out.

If I won five grand tomorrow I'd grab the 75" version in a heartbeat.

LG used to make 3D, in their 2016 OLED...some models...and passive 3D.
Many 4K front projectors support 3D...from Sony, JVC, and others.

The Z9F, no more 3D with this baby.

But who cares about 3D? Me, and the millions more like me.

Check out my video of the introduction of Sony's Z9F and A9f at Sony's Press Conference.

Robert, the picture and sound quality of that video needs better preparation, in my opinion.

The people in the audience are all blue. The audio is subdued.
Not a criticism, an observation.

I usually purchase "fun" things only if I can afford to comfortably pay for them outright but I may just have to look into financing this time.

Also I live like three hours away from New York and could totally stop by Value Electronics with a rented U-Haul truck and a thousand pillows.

Here's part 2 that starts with the Z9F and then goes into more information on both new series, the A9F OLED and Z9F LCD/LED, like the new AutoCal and more.

I've been posting select videos from Sony's Press Conference on my new Youtube Channel and this is the last one I'll bring to everyone's attention. So if you want to see more check out the channel as I'll post new videos every day or two.

Here's a very interesting presentation from Mr. Bill Baggelaar, Sony Pictures, SVP of Technologies for Pre and Post Production Technologies tells the story of the Sony's quest "Lens to Living room" creation of the new Master Series A9F OLED and Z9F LCD/LED TVs.

Robert Zohn.

Eye Openning.

PQ on the Master Series Sony TVs. Is even much better than what one sees in the Movie Theaters. Where there is Theater's Director's Intent.

I agree that a properly set-up Z9F and or A9F would likely deliver better picture quality than most commercial theaters. Partly because of the smaller screen that is brighter than a theater and the overall advantages of a direct view display vs. a projection system.
