Sorry for the confusion, I did post MSRP and last night Sony announced the "SURE" prices that are about $1k less per model. Here's the new lowest prices for Sony's 4 new Master Series TVs:

These are the official "SURE" prices for Sony's Master Series 55" & 65" A9F OLED and the 65" and 75" Z9F LCD/LED.

Z9F LCD/LED:
- XBR-65Z9F $3,499
- XBR-75Z9F $5,999

A9F OLED TV:
- XBR-55A9F $3,499
- XBR-65A9F $4,499

We're gifting a 10% credit with the purchase of any Sony Master Series TV and 24 months interest free financing.

Robert Zohn. Thank you.

Are any of those shipped attached on a wooden crate?

Or do on a crate cost extra and how much? Which models can be on a crate.

I live in California.

We can only provide a wooden crate on TVs that we take care of the full q/c, break-in and top professional SDR/FHD Day and Night and HDR including Dolby Vision calibration.

We are authorized Sony Diamond dealers and our Nationwide orders are fulfilled through Sony's 6 drop ship partner fulfillment warehouses across America and they do not build crates. However, our program does include building a custom pallet and the TV strapped onto the skid for safe and easy handling to your home delivery.

The video from yesterday that person posted of the Z9F that had all that blooming I feel like came from his camera. No way they would have the tv like that on the show room floor.

The talk of this being close to on par with their studio model I'm wonder how the Z9D compared to the studio model tv. If the F is closer does that mean it's a little better? I know everybody is going nuts about zones but maybe, just maybe they figured something out? I mean, they did figure out the viewing angle

I must admit, those OLED prices are not bad at all. From all the videos of blooming I've seen (and from knowing local dimming tech very well, so ~104 zones is just never, ever going to cut it), I no longer have even passing interest in the Z9F, but the A9F looks really good.

Robert, is the shootout still on for the 23rd?

I'm assuming the 10% credit is in the form of Sony store credit and not 10% off the price of the display?

Tommyboy81

That guy also did this video from IFA 2018.
Whats important I feel is that Specular Bright Hightlights from it is no less on the Master Series A9's. For that matter when both Vincient and Rtings reviews it____ the A9's may have brighter specular hightlights. This is a must to be determined. Least for me as an AV Enthusiast.

Very interesting Bright Specular Hightlights.

Come on HDTVtest, Rtings. Do your review of the A9's

The 75" Z9F at $6000 is a great price compared to what I spent for the 75" Z9D

I would suggest having Robert do the Quality Control and Calibration. Afterwards, the TV is shipped with white glove delivery where it is brought in the house. You can open the box and double check all is good. And it is shipped on a crate.

I also live in California

Yes, you get a store credit that can be used for an extended warranty, or our q/c, break-in and calibration or any accessories, like a nice set of headphones, BD player or any a/v device.

Robert, is there any chance the Z9D will be part of the shootout? Would be interesting to see how it compares, especially to its successor the Z9F.

I would doubt that would happen.

In the past, the only TV in the Shootout that wasn't that year's model was the previous year's winner.

But heck, I could be wrong which my wife says I am most of the time.

Makes sense. Would still be nice if an exception could be made in this case, though! This is kind of a special TV, after all, one that still holds up.

Robert Zohn.

Understand.

Many, Many of us are on Cusp of buying Z9F or Z9D.
It could be 3D vs Master Series Technology.

It could be Old School Love. Or wanna a Special TV.

Z9D at your shootout will help us decide.

Some/Many looking for a 75 inch Now!!! Ready for Home Theater Magnificients. Many are ready to move up to 65.

And you have the Super Pro Calibration and Sony 10% Credit.
And you be a Nice guy to buy from.

Robert.
Ready Ready Ready Now!!! For a Big "Z". But can't decide between 2016 or 2018 model.
