I guess if ones BB TV is still in the return window____Returning it and buy new BF priced TV is an option. No so hard to do especially if one finds "unhappy with" Flaws in the first TV. |

With the amount of false information you spread on these forums, please don’t face-palm me.
“But the Z9D!” Yep. I know. Motion handling is important to me as I game an awful lot so I didn’t want the Z9D. It’s that simple. The Z9F was left behind because I tried two different sets and there were quality control issues… some pretty nasty light bleed from the right edge of the screen, and even light leakage from a minor bit of panel separation on the second Z9F I tried. As of now, its fald algorithms do some funky things too. I’m happy with the 900F. Not sure you’re really qualified to decide if that’s the right answer in general, let alone what I find works for me personally. I’m at least forming opinions by using actual equipment rather than stealing hive mind talking points. |

so I decided to watch a Amazon Prime movie from the tv app. Stupid question, but does the tv try to convert 1080 to 4k? Threw on Daddy's Home 2 since it was right there and dang. Looks really good for a 1080 stream movie.
Watching parts of Transformers: Last Knight and holy crap. And its 1080p Last edited by tommyboy81; 11-15-2018 at 04:14 AM. |

There has'nt been a 65 inch Z9F Best Buy Custormer Review posted in over a month.
Is it hard to get a Z9F at Best Buy? We only have the A9F at ours. |

I hate the Black Friday Z9F Demo's at Magnolia. Surfing on balloons. Can't tell from it if Z9F is anything special.
Sony 900F has outstanding demos. 75 85 inches. So Wonderful Last edited by E6AtmosVuduDV; 11-24-2018 at 12:58 AM. |

Sony's vs...
I removed it. I got the Z9D a few days ago and wanted more time... I spent two weeks with the 65" Z9F and exchanged it for the 65" Z9D. I only returned the F because the WIFI kept disconnecting. This has never happened on my TCL or my other TVs, and I just didn't want to deal with it, honestly. AFAIK, no other F owner has reported having this issue. I'm glad I made the exchange, though. These are not the same TVs. The 65" Z9F I had showed the blooming that everyone is talking about. It bothered me enough that I entertained the thought of placing cardboard on the TV screen, but what's the use, the bloom is also present in the picture to some degree. But while blooming is the main thing being compared throughout this thread, I found a more troublesome issue with regard to the Z9F: motion. Specifically, with DVD playback. On the Exorcist 3, for example, I noticed foreground (and sometimes, background) objects shaking while the rest of the image remained steady. Then in the scenes inside the cell, the shaft of sunlight coming down from windows looked highly compressed and clipped. And that was in Custom mode with XDR off! I checked out this movie again on the Z9D and the picture is very steady, in all the scenes; nothing jumping around. The light from the window has greater detail and is more natural looking, as well. So it's not only about blooming. Also, notice the difference in the spectral response of the two sets. Something not right with the Z9F Edit: something tells me the Z9F may need to be measured at an angle to observe its response. Wish I had tried that. I have studied the 65 inch Z9F and 65 Z9D playing 4K HDR Ender's Game from the Sony x700 disc player. In Living Room setting. Medium and Low lightings.
Z9F PQ movie presentation seems muted compared to Z9D PQ. Smartly purchase based on features thats important for your Family. Go by your own comparative audition experience. Last edited by E6AtmosVuduDV; 11-25-2018 at 04:51 PM. Reason: Finishing |

Just wanted to say we all know Vincent is correct, but if you listen to every word he says he is strictly referring to and continually repeating that the elevated CinemaScope black bars is an issue only in a “Pitch Black” room.
Almost no-one watches in a pitch black room and all rooms reflect light so some light always gets back to the screen and that reduces the perceived effect of More importantly if you are a real movie buff Vincent is also correctly when he recommended a low luminance bias light behind the screen or even just low ambient room light. The Z9F is the best choice for many high-end premium TV enthusiasts homes and if you are a dark room movie buff you would probably be getting the OLED and not any LCD TV. In my opinion, Sony's 65" and 75" Z9F is the best LCD TV available. |

Thats an interesting Dec 2018 Z9F review.
Understand X-Wide, eARC, 4 Full Bandwidth HDMI's are strong attraction points, by Sony. Tho not sure if the average TV consummer would need them or pay many many $Thousands for them(with taxes, 4 year protection warranty, mounting, Z9F TV calibration, delivery cost).. Master Series commands its own market segment IMO. Last edited by E6AtmosVuduDV; 12-09-2018 at 04:55 PM. Reason: Finishing |

Someone today at another forum noticed the Z is back to avalibility for Best Buy delivery or stores pickup. I confirmed it BestBuy.com__ Z9Ds easy availability. Even in Farming towns, California.
Wonder how this will affect Z9F sales at Christmas. Why do I feel at CES 2019 there will be newly a Z9F #2. So Sony can then retire the Z9D's. Last edited by E6AtmosVuduDV; 12-12-2018 at 01:50 AM. |
