Yes we offer Sony's 24 months interest free financing.
Are you asking about the measurement of 65" or 75" Z9F legs? |

sorry, the 75in. My stand can actually hold the 65in with the legs like that. My stand is 58in wide, and I think most 65in tv's are at least 58in wide

Sony's 75" Z9F is 66" wide. The width between the legs is 56 1/2"

What is your opinion so far on the F judging from what you have read? It seems to me like Sony were aiming for different things instead of just outdoing the D. |

How is Z9F with HDR dark shadings and blacks.
How much better is it compared to the prior model Z9D. Do results depends on dimming zones count or is there also new Z9F technologies affecting dark shadings or blacks? |

@E6AtmosVuduDV, it's not possible to honestly answer your questions as we'll need to have the Z9F in our hands to do controlled testing and have the time to evaluate the display.
@tommyboy81, 65" is a good decision and most folks would not even have a 65" screen at a 6.5' viewing distance. With that said the recommended viewing distance for UHD/HDR 75" is 5'. |

Robert. I'm my office/TV Room combo I sit 5.5 feet from my 65 inch G6 OLED. Viewing is great.
Course maybe a Z9F is so bright one might get sun burns sitting at that distance. So it seems to me 6-8 feet for 77 inch Z9 can bless HT viewing. |

If Z9F's HDR Dark shadings and Blacks are'nt better than Z9D's... then Sony is going the other way. That likely would make many peoples sad.

I've read quite a few impressions of the Z9F these past couple of days, and I have to say my enthusiasm has been tempered a bit. And not just because of the lack of 3D (which I was prepared for).
So apparently the Z9F does not use the Backlight Master Drive tech, there are various reports of light bleed/greyness in the black bars and peak brightness does not seem to be higher than the Z9D. Now I know these "findings" are all based on observations during a presentation, and no one seems to have had acces to the remote and see for themselves what settings were used. And apparently the Z9F not using BMD doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing (there's still the X1 Ultimate chip to handle things). And ofcourse it could be very well this TV will perform differently once reviewers get their hands on it. In short: this could still go either way. But somehow I think this is not going to be what I hoped for and expected it to be. It seems Sony has a different agenda here and the Z9F is more geared towards trying to capture the image quality of the BVM reference monitor (hence the "Master Series" tag), rather than being a "straight" follow up to the Z9D (as in: improving the BMD tech, more zones, higher peak brightness). Ofcourse getting a BVM like picture in your own living room seems great but personally speaking, I think I would have preferred those 4000 nits along with even better blacks/more precise local dimming and a wider gamut than the Z9D. We'll just have to wait and reserve final judgment until all the pro reviewers and AV enthusiasts have gotten their hands on the Z9F. Somehow though (for now at least) I can't shake the feeling I will end up skipping this and stick with my Z9Ds and wait for Sony's next flagship model... But on the other hand, perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised once reviews have come in and prove to be very favourable. ![]() |
