Very important season next season. Second season syndrome is notoriously difficult. If you guys can add in the right places you should be good.

Have you guys heard that Norwich winning will result in all of us getting extra money due to parachute payments? Another reason to shout for Norwich.

A bridge (no pun intended) too far today. Excellent effort but my lads were dead on their feet last twenty minutes. They have put the pride back in wear side and have shown the passion and effort that I have been craving all season.

It's a shame newcastle didn't drop but that's an easy six points for us next season.

Bye bye Brucie!

How's that, Steed? Is it because if they go up their existing parachute payments are cancelled and the money's spread between the other PL clubs?

I purposely stayed out of the thread because I’ve been behind in my Prem watching, so excuse the late posting.

So, Steed and Tob – are we both good (Sunderland and Arsenal). Plus, I get to look forward to watching more N.E. derbys on TV next season.

Now, how to improve on the results for next season.

Correct. It may not make a huge difference to the 'Giants' who just throw 60-70 million at every problem they have but to less financially well off clubs like ourselves it makes a difference

It was great being able to relax on Sunday. .

We need to keep Advocaat. I love big dick! (but just in football terms)

Sweet! Game is today right? Might have to watch it. I follow Championship news every now and then but I don't watch the games now Leicester have moved on from there, should probably see the clubs in action to see what we are in for next season.

As if this first season wasn't hard enough!

Statistically since April Leicester have been one of the best clubs in Europe, formwise, so if Pearson really does make the "key signings to emphasise what we already have" and finds a way to bottle whatever he did to the players in these last two months so he can bring it to every game then I think we'd be fine next season.

But then I worry it's complete optimism as, as you say, second season syndrome and the reality that we spent half of this season at the bottom of the table. Yes we got one of the greatest escapes in the Premier League of all time by the end but we won't last five minutes in the Prem in the future if that is how we plan to get by going forwards.

A big fat yes, it's been an amazing season and that was our second highest top flight finish ever. Apparently that's the first time a Premier League team has been in the bottom three after 19 games and finished in the top half, it's been truly remarkable from Pardew and co.

If we can get in a 15-20 goal striker then we could really cause some havoc next season. Can't wait.

The owners had a meeting with him last season about many issues one of them was the style of football they wanted and transfer targets pizzamorg.
He did adapt his style to more attacking football and the transfers he brought in last summer were a success this season but i get the impression the owners are still not happy and with them moving to a new stadium they want bigger things for the club Pizzamorg.

To be fair, West Ham kinda fell off the map this season, didn't they? I swear they were in a top four position at Christmas. They didn't even finish in the top ten by the end.

Anyone else watching Middlesborough Norwich? I don't know anything about either club but the match has been absolute madness, such intensity and pure attacking football. The scoreline doesn't really reflect the match.

I don't mind who gets into the premier league they both had good seasons in the championship.
