Not nice as in it makes me happy or whatever, I don't know maybe nice is the wrong word. I just always like stories like that, especially so as a club like Chelsea had probably forgotten all together what it was like to actually fight for something and actually have something to lose.

Pizza, I've just gotta say I find it hilarious how quickly you've adapted to being top of the pile, like looking down on poor old Chelsea and calling it a "nice story" if they scrape into the top four, that's priceless

Wasn't intended to come across that way, either. See the post above yours for the explanation of the post, didn't realise such innocent and small worlds could inspire such aggressive readings!

But either way, even last year, a season full of frustrating and aggravation, Leicester played some truly wonderful football, we never looked like the team at the bottom of the table, even while we sat there for months on end. We made lots of mistakes, we couldn't score goals, but that run that we had at the end of the season didn't come out of nowhere, it was there all along, it just took all that time for us to iron everything out and get the pieces in the right order.

Sure, but as you can probably tell I get that vibe from your posts in general, like when you're tearing your side a new one for not playing pretty football but are still picking up vitally important 'gritty' wins like the recent one against Tottingham. I guess I just find it funny how people get used to the good life so quickly, whereas with Palace I'm still expecting the rug to be pulled out from under us any day now.

I know how you feel. We were promised a magic carpet ride when Quinny took over, we are now a trampled, dirty doormat that everyone walks over.

Well, I can see his point to be honest mate. It comes down to passion and loving your club. From my point of view, I read some of your posts and I thought 'why the **** are you complaining about a gritty win!' my team are desperate and every week we are scraping the barrel trying to look for hope with the odd point here and rare win there. Then I look at Leicester and I think, why the feck can't we do that? Then I see you complaining because you don't win with sexy football? Come on mate. Two seasons in and you are top of the league! Regardless of how well you play, I wouldnt be moaning in that predicament, believe me.

I hope you don't think I am picking sides though. I happen to think a lot of you and Geoff, but it would be unfair not to speak my mind as well.

In summary, would I be chuffed if Leicester won league?

Yes I would.

Is there a part of me that is a little jealous?

Yes, I am only human.

Do I think you are incredibly hard to please?

I don't see what is wrong with wanting your team to maintain a high standard that you know your club can achieve. Like I've had to apologise for so many times this campaign - which is wrong in the first place - I understand other teams are struggling and we're at the top of the league but I don't feel that means I now need to take a back seat and be critically ignorant of my team?

Yes but it's unrealistic mate. A hard slog of a season takes its toll. Players Who were fresh in October and November are not necessarily the same players come the turn of the year. different teams and formations are going to affect team performances from one week to the next. Even that incredible season when Arsenal went unbeaten all season included a fair few 'ugly wins' it was the same for Chelski last year and City the year before. After all, City were drawing with QPR at home until very late on. Playing beautiful football every game in a season is just not going to happen mate. So from my point of view, I can't really relate to your posts that bemoan the lack of sparkle, despite a win that keeps you at the top. That's just my point of view, I can't identify with your viewpoint. Often I can, but on this occasion, no.

Only two loses in your last six games though! And Man City were very very lucky. You've still got around forty points left up for grabs. You made City sweat, you took a point from Liverpool and you've battered other teams in the same relegation battle as you. It's so tight, I'd say it is all to play for still.

Pizza, I don't intend any hard feelings with my posts, passive aggressive as they sometimes come off (eh, that's just me in general). You come on here to vent your feelings and not to be judged - same for all of us, I think - and it's important that we maintain that atmosphere which is unusually cordial for a football thread.

But, as Steedy said, we're only human so when you're on one of your downers we can't quite help but voice our opinion (in the politest possible way) that you can't see the gritty title-winning forest for them oh-so-beautiful trees.

By the way Steed, you guys are only 4 points back of Newcastle. You string together a couple of decent games and you're there. It's not the end of the world. You always believe the worst bud. Have some faith. Now do they deserve it? Well, that's another story.
