But still, if it's true that the stand-in keeper gifted them their first goal then Palace have once again shown their near-miraculous ability to shoot themselves in the foot, and I can't blame anyone for that except for the turnip between the sticks.

Be interesting to see if we can make it to the end of the season without winning another game, that would take it to 21 games which - although monumentally incompetent - is still nowhere near the longest Premier League run without a win. That belongs to Derby with a stunning 32 game streak, that was the infamous 11 point season IIRC. Trouble is, I can imagine Palace carrying this form into the next campaign (especially given how pish we've been at home these last two seasons) so that 32 game streak could yet fall...

Yes, you have to expect penalties against Liverpool. Despite some moderators claims, I know my s***!

Palace will be fine Geoff. I think this season, the total points needed will be slightly lower than average.

In that 10 years the top 5 aggregate count of penalties awarded to teams is:

Chelsea 62
Man City 60
Man Utd 59

I don't think it's to much of a stretch to suggest the teams that have traditionally been close to the top of the league, with better attacking set-ups, have, overall, scored more goals and won more penalties. It's an interesting correlation isn't it? Who'd of thought that would be the case?

They top the charts for overall penalties awarded. That was my claim and that is a fact. They haven't won the league for 25 years or similar, yet still get most penalties.

I do really love how the "big team" supporters - let's be honest, Liverpool haven't been a big club for years now, hence the air quote - are always the most childish in this thread.
