I agree we do need a striker and to add a defender but you just know Wenger will do something else but Xhaka has potential but so far from what i have seen with him at the Euros with Switzerland its nothing really.

Tob, I'm back.

Your Euro thread is quite daunting for me to catch up on, whereas this one is easier. What's the transfer news in a nutshell? Man City, Man U and Chelsea all improving their chances for a Prem title with adding more high quality players to their stables, esp. with the new coaches......and the Arsenal....same old...same old?

Surprise me with good Arsenal signing news.
Or maybe the FA is looking to hire Wenger to coach the National team? and he leaves a year early?

Palace are going cash crazy. Bid £31M for Batshiny or whatever his name is and were turned down (he went to Chelsea), spent £10M on Tomkins from West Ham and £13M for Andros Townsend. Probably looking at spending that £31M on Benteke from Liverpool. Madness.

The only two transfer deals Wenger has made are Granit Xhaka and Takuma Asano.
I don't expect Wenger to make any more signings as so far he has done nothing or flexed the club's muscle in the market.
Granit Xhaka was bought for midfield a area of the team where it didn't need strengthening compared to the other areas of the team.
Takuma Asano is a player for the future Wenger's words but the truth is he is a bargain buy hoping to tap more in the merchandise market in Asia.
Once again we the supporters must suffer under his dictatorship while the other clubs are better prepared going into the new season.

Then yet another frustrating year I fear….squeeze into Champions and then get knocked out early. Sometimes I feel the season would be more interesting if we were like Steed and constantly battling every year to stay up. btw, as per the 1st paragraph of my next to the last post in your Euro 2016 thread, I hate to say it being the Arsenal supporter I am, but I believe Giroud is one of the worst culprits in that regard. (i.e. the needless dramatics after missing a shot, etc.)

Looks like Big Sam has got the England job. Sorry Steed, I thought he was a good fit for your mob, now you've gotta find someone all over again.

I made a case for people who don't care for the new Ghostbusters and some people in that thread can't handle different opinions.

Interesting move. I'm curious to see with Steed thinks about it.
