Tob, I haven't gotten to reading your Gazidis article PMed to me yet because of the Tour finishing this weekend but will review on Mon. or Tues. Thanks

As to Steed. probably still enjoying the summer before his boys scare the hell out of him again this coming season. Let the poor guy rest for awhile and enjoy his/their latest escape.

So, where’s the problem with Arsene…..or with Arsene and the Board? Meaning, after he goes. will the football club still be tight wads? I’m beginning to think the best thing for the Arsenal would be not in finish in the top 4 for several years in order for the administration to have a change in philosophy regarding more ambition in the transfer market.

Gazidis says the same thing before the start of any new season but he is only a yes man to Wenger.
We do have big funds and we got a lot of money last season too with the new T.V deal.
The problem with the club penton is that Wenger has too much power and influence because the board won't make decisions without Wenger, we also have a silent owner in Stan Kroenke who is very happy that he does not have to invest his money with Wenger holding back every summer.
When the pressure is on Wenger can't handle it and for any action to happen or for him to do something then by us having a poor season might get people to act.

Not sure if you got the pre match coverage, but when a reporter asked Arsene about what parts of the team needed reinforcing for the upcoming Prem season, he mentioned goal scoring and with Pers Mertesacker being sidelined, filling his absence at the back, ending with the sentence…’We have enough players’ almost with a wry grin.

I’ve only watched 15 min. of the actual match so far to evaluate how the youngins are doing.

I saw the match last night penton but i won't talk about it because you didn't see it yet.
He said yesterday he was in the market for another striker but i don't believe anything he says anymore and it won't surprise me if he doesn't bring in cover for Mertesacker.
