Glad Everton got a point Gvortex, also it was important to keep Swansea down there from my point of view.

Nah. I'm disappointed. Especially against Swansea. We should have beaten them handily, but the way we've been playing as of late, I guess I have to be happy with a point. It's frustrating times for us though at the moment. We've got nothing going at the offensive end. At this rate Lukaku will sure to leave by seasons' end.

On the other hand you guys had another very solid (this time complete effort) win yesterday. Hopefully your squad will be able to sustain that for a while and get our of the relegation zone in the next few weeks. Congrats bud.

I think Everton will do transfer business in January but the big changes will come in the summer and if the new Everton owners get the big targets they want then Lukaku will stay for another season.

That's a big if tob. Everton fans thought we'd make a splash before the season, and that didn't really happen, so I'm quite unsure what will happen by seasons' end. The biggest thing is Lukaku wants to play in the CL. And the way we're currently constructed, I don't think we can compete with the big boys for a top 4 position. If he leaves, it will be because we came up short yet again.

I seen a interview with the new owner gvortex7 and they want to take the club to the next level starting with a new stadium these plans take time but Koeman would not have taken the job if he wasn't given promises about what he be given and the future plans for the club.
So lets see what the new owner can bring to the club.

That's true, and I agree about Koeman. Let's hope we can get to that Arsenal level. I'm crossing my fingers bud.

Pretty cool though. I’m happy for the team, the manager and most of all the loyal supporters.

Tob, I was glad we got the one point, but I sense we are still not serious title contenders.

Real title contenders….

November is our worst period every season but this time we came away with draws against Spurs and United so its a small improvement this month but if we can keep with the pace of the others till February or March you never know.
Good news today is that Hector Bellerin signed a new long term contract with the club.

Everyone put their phone flashlight on when the lights went out. It was a lovely scene, like Christmas had come early! (for more than one reason)

Not getting carried away, we are playing the bin dippers next away from home. Won't get anything there. We have to win against the likes of Watford and Burnley though. If we can, and get around 15-18 points by 2nd Jan, we can do it again.

Thanks Penton Man.

The Sun sez that Pardew will get the tin tack if we lose to Swansea on Saturday. Can't say I'm surprised, it's been an annus horribilis for Pardew's Palace and the cup run just papered over the cracks. The board have given Pardew a lot of money to spend (in terms of fees and wages) but the results just aren't backing it up.

But it is the Sun Geoff! . About as credit worthy as the Daily Fail IMO.

Oh indeed, paper talk is what it is, but in this crucial December/Chrimbo/New Year fixture list we've got Swansea, Southampton and Hull with games against Man U, Watford, Chelsea and Arsenal to come after that, so this really is make-or-break for Pardew coming up.

IMO we need a minimum of seven points from those first three games to give us any chance of keeping our heads above water heading into the New Year, so while he probably won't be sacked if we lose to Swansea I think he'll be gone if we're still winless after Saints and Hull.

Yeah, I see your reasoning there. Nothing to say you won't spring a suprise against the big boys though Geoff.

That wouldn't be enough to save him. A win against the big boys should be the icing on the cake for a team like Palace, not the 1 in 20 long shot that pays off. What I mean is, we've stayed up thus far by getting most of our points from the teams around us (doing the double over several teams in season 2012/13) but if that dries up and we're still regularly getting beaten by the big teams then we're stuffed.

You must be like us, we always get horrific fixtures over Christmas. Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool. The Boxing Day game is away to Man U, typical.

So yeah, I share your anxiety about need ping points on the board. We have to beat Pizzamorg's guys next Saturday as we won't get anything at Anfield.
