I've given up on this season, it's made it so much easier to stomach. If, by the greatest of miracles, Palace were to stay up after the worst start in PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE (not just EPL) HISTORY then that's great, but this season really is about damage limitation now. And survival this season would be yet another sticking plaster over our perennial problems, we need to get relegated to clear the dead wood and start over. Reducing the crowds by a good few thousand might even help as the players won't feel so much crushing pressure at home.

The form since we lost to Liverpool has been good but the only strong test we had was Chelsea away so we can't get carried away with our last few results and the win today over Brighton we had to win to keep the pace with United and City.

I know man. It's never a good thing when some share holder has to give you a vote of confidence just to survive. This has been a pretty bad campaign so far. I'm not even going to sugarcoat it. And here I thought Koeman was actually a good manager, as in good at managing players/formations, etc. I may have been wrong in that regard.

I do think he's a good manager but I again bring you back to when Tottingham sold Bale, they brought in a load of new recruits that were majorly hyped up but it fell as flat as a pancake. You guys are suffering the post-Lukaku blues and it's gonna take time to get through it.

Mourinho doing his usual shit-stirring doesn't help the perception of the situation, it's not gonna happen overnight and I know that sounds rich coming from a bloke whose club sacked the manager after just four league games but you've got so much more infrastructure & talent in place versus us, you just need to find the magic combo to get it all clicking. If it takes a season then it takes a season, as long as you aren't relegated (there are only two spots left, remember ) then you can try again next year.
