I wouldn't question the players abilities either Tob, they are both top players for their respective clubs, although I find it almost embarrassing to see Ronaldo's over-the-top goal celebrations at times. My criticism was aimed more at certain commentators (not all) who just go on and on about Ronaldo almost to the point as if the other players in the team counted for nothing.

I seem to recall some story about Jose Mourinho whilst he was in charge at Real Madrid, and somebody asked him about Ronaldo's success, to which Mourinho responded by saying something along the lines of "a football team consists of 11 players, not just one."

I've never understood why managers say that when they lose a match. Surely it's the job of any team to penetrate the opponents defence, even if they were 'parking the bus'. As for Mourinho, yes he's a very good manager no question, but I wouldn't call him the "special one" as he once described himself I believe.

Chelsea did to us what we've been doing most of he season. He's a sore loser with negative tactics that do not work well in today's Premier League. And agree, Jose ain't "The Special One" anymore. I can see next season being the same, boring and slow football, top players underperforming and him leaving us this time next year in one hell of a mess.

I have to disagree with you on tactics Mourinho has his way to approach the game and he has been successful with his tactics in the modern game.
I agree the football on display can be slow and boring but the guy does get the results at the end.

He wasn't always so dour with his tactics though, he seems to have become more and more entrenched and embittered as the years have worn on. Used to like him a lot but can't stand the sight of him any more, always moaning about this and that. He's like a Portuguese Neil Warnock.

Anyhoo, as for the CL final it wasn't a classic and those howlers from Karius will haunt him for the rest of his days (bring back Mignolet, I say ) just as Bale's worldy will provide him with completely opposite emotions in the years to come. What. A. Goal. And what a stage to do it on.
