Hey most of the time just saying something, well typing it has something related to the conversation. I started out in one thread mainly. And now I'm pretty much in three major forums.

That's too funny, I didn't notice that either. And I started out in one thread, Criterion I think (couldn't find my first post, though it's here somewhere), and now I post in quite few, still centering on Criterion and now Maters of Cinema. But it's a blast, I love contributing and love finding new/old gems I've missed.

Well after spending some time on the site and contributing 24 sumbissions, 27 reviews and 1,100+ movie rankings so far I'm not "ranked" yet. Why does it take so long to get credit for the contributions made on this site? My reviews aren't even showing up next to my name under my collection when I post on threads(yes the box is checked in settings).

I think you can only earn a golden star for reviews and number of database submissions. I can't remember how many submissions it takes to get a star but I noticed mine after about 100 successful submissions (I'm at 4000+ now).


As for reviews I have no idea how many you need, it may depend on how many likes your reviews get.

As for your member rank that all depends on how many posts you've made.

Thanks for the replies. It's a bit weird that gold stars are given out for the most amount of spam in forums on the site. I'm not too worried about gold spam stickers yet, I'm just a bit disappointed that my reviews aren't even showing up next to my name. It's discouraging me to contribute anything else on the site if they're not even showing up.

Have you tried using a different browser? If it shows up in another browser it might be the cache.

Nah, I've been using chrome for awhile. Are you able to see my reviews with a total and link under my collection by my name? if so it's just on my side/browser etc then. Again thanks for helping me out with trying to keep my soul at rest I've also noticed that when I click on my profile now it shows top contributor rank and pending submissions etc. They're just not visible to me when I browse around and post on the forums. So I was thinking that no one can see them at all.


Edit: I just checked it on Internet Explorer too and I still don't see a total/link next to my name there either.
