Does this limitation extend to being able to contribute new titles/countries to the database as well? A couple of new members seemed to be having trouble with this the other day and that was my guess as to the problem

A new member just asked me and I'm not sure what the answer is.
They want to sell UV Codes and SlipCovers?
He/She is unable to post in those Threads.

There's no access to the trading forum for the first 30days.

Trading forum wasn't intended to be a place for people to come and set up shop. It was meant for users of this forum to help each other out or to sell no longer needed goods.

The 30day rule was introduced to try and stop the amount of sock accounts and banned members coming back instantly and continuing to scam people after they were banned, there's no way around it unfortunately.

But the user is more than welcome to contribute to other areas of the forum until then

I find it fascinating.
Is it that you were a member longer than most of us? Because the only other way I can imagine getting your numbers that high is if you're averaging like 100 posts per day, which means you'd have to subscribe to almost every thread started, right?

I've been here for 8 years and 4 months, which is roughly 3,043 days and I'm on every day. That works out to roughly 16-17 posts per day.

Aaahhh so you've been a posting member approximately twice as long as me.
I'm here four years (actually I'm here seven years, but I didn't "log in and post" for the first three years), but only have 5,500 posts. So even if I doubled that number and had been posting for eight years, like you, that still only brings my number up to 11,000 posts/comments.

I was posting quite a bit more in the early days as the forum was rapidly expanding and I tried to promote the HT Galleries section, Audio and Music forums. Things have settled down, although the site and forums are still growing, but it's not like the early days.

Additionally, I belong to several other fora (audio, music, political, etc) and probably have close to 15,000 posts combined from those as well. And that's not counting Facebook.

I miss having my member rank under my name

My posting has definitely slowed down over the past two years! I'm at just 8.99 posts per day. I'm sure at my peak I was around 20+ posts per day.
