thanks for the tip. unfortunately it's not a proper 2.0 MP camera (a mobile phone)

just reviewd (HP OOTP)

when you get used to Blu, sometimes we are maybe a wee bit judgemental.
(when you own the world, you want the universe)
but the PQ on this film is first class.

I still wonder how they're gonna make the different accents come out in the subtitles

Holy cow! I'm surprised you understood the movies! I about died when I walked out of Prisoner of Azkaban. They left out some pretty important things. And completely botched the ending with Harry's Patronus. They never mentioned his dad being an Animagus like Sirius and Peter. They never explained the Marauder's Map being created by Sirius, Peter, Lupin and Harry's dad. And Gof was a complete mess.

I understand that movies never do justice to the books ( in my opinion they're to be used as a sort of visual dictionary), but I've been REAL surprised with stuff they left out of the movies and I'm REALLY curious to see how they bring it all back around for the last 2 movies.

Ah that's nothing new though with books to film.

They left out one of the main characters altogether in the film adaptation of "Hannibal" - Mason Verger's sister.

Same here. I never read the books for movies anymore because I always end up disappointed when I see the movie. Happened with Eragon too, and especially Battlefield Earth.

I'd read maybe 5 books in the last seven years . . . but in the middle of August I picked up Sorcerer's Stone and was hooked. I read all seven HP's by the second week in October. If you like the movies, you'll love the books, I'd suggest at least picking up the first and giving it a shot. I'm not at all what you'd call a reader, but I couldn't stop reading this. The first two you don't lose a lot from the books to movies, but GoF was about half of the book, and I can't even imagine what they'll be leaving out of OOTP (haven't seen it yet) and Half Blood Prince. The last one is quite a bit of action, so the length of the book won't be as hard to convert to film, but I'm guessing they'll have to leave something out.

After I read the books, I've started to wonder how the films are going to dig themselves out of just forgetting about Dobby's existence . . .

Great to hear WB didn't screw up the picture quality with another less than stellar transfer.

Very excited about this because I was really sweating the HP movies might get the same crappy PQ some of the other WB releases have received.

mmm, got to say, after just watching Harry Potter OOTP. the pictures not as good as other transfers i`v watched on my sammy 1080p. pirates2 looked stunning as was ghost rider , 300, cars and starship troopers, but this seems to be around the same quality as say, CLICK. nice, clean transfer but non of that POP picture quality. strange, for such a recent film.

shame. looked forward to this on blu-ray, and now abit dissapointed.

This contradicts what all others in the thread are saying about its picture quality.

Have you adjusted your eyes yet? You also might want to pick up some Monster Cable Nerves (Gold plated are the best). Should resolve your issue.
