Does anyone know if this is ever comming out on Blu Ray? Also the Gladiator? I noticed these are both Dreamworks, are they not making blu ray's or whats the deal? Thanks

They are Paramount films, so they will be dual releases.

Saving Private Ryan was on the paramount internal release schedule earlier this year, but it has since been removed with no word. Might be a spielberg thing.

Ok sorry if this is a stupid question but what exactly does "dual release" mean? If your saying they will be released at the same time, can you find out when that will be?

On both formats, HD DVD and Blu-ray.

No, we don't really know when they will be released unless the studio has announced anything specific, and in these cases there have been no such announcements.

I'd get both (again) on blu-ray...just weighing in. Both are must-haves.

Most of Dreamworks' titles before the Paramount purchase belong to Universal including the ones you just mentioned.

Wasn't Universal/Dreamworks a distribution relationship, and like Sony/MGM changed?

(Now Paramount/Dreamworks and Fox/MGM)

I think this movie speaks for itself as far as amazing story telling, cinematography, much less one of the greatest war movies (if not thee greatest war movie ever made). Has anyone heard if Paramount ever plans to release this on Blu-ray format?

I know Saving Private Ryan was a Dreamworks picture, but distributed it? Paramount or Universal? That could help answer the question too, even though, like stated earlier, it's really up to Spielberg.
