I saw it twice in the theater. IMAX3D & regular 2D. I generally do not like paying a premium for 3D movies, but I thought Prometheus looked great.

I'm in for the 3D set Day 1.

This sure took some work, hope y'all appreciate!

This is to the 3D release's credit though, it has an incredible amount of extras! And it's not fluffy stuff either! Kudos to Fox, they clearly put an effort into this brilliant release. I easily got caught up in watching some of it while scanning all the timecodes.

I own the European release, but it IS from Fox, so aside for language differences, I expect the extras to be 100% identical on the US release.

It was pefectly utilized. This, Hugo, and Avatar are all great examples of how to use 3D (regardless of how people feel about the movies themselves).

Tron Legacy is a good example of underutilization. Movies like Jaws 3D or Friday the 13th 3D are examples of gimmicky over the top 3D, where the medium is used to just shove stuff in your face.

Is the PARADISE scene a fully completed scene..Also i description would be nice.

No. It's with the alternate/deleted scenes on the 2D disc. Seems that the BBFC listings that have been around for weeks were accurate except for the length of some of the extras and scenes. Now we know what it on which disc.

This is to the 3D release's credit though, it has an incredible amount of extras! And it's not fluffy stuff either! Kudos to Fox, they clearly put an effort into this brilliant release. I easily got caught up in watching some of it while scanning all the timecodes.

I own the European release, but it IS from Fox, so aside for language differences, I expect the extras to be 100% identical on the US release.

Thanks for taking the time to post that. Quick question though, how do you know that the bonus disc is exclusive to the 3D release? I have the UK 3D+2D blu pre-ordered anyway, but I'm curious.

Same question, more or less, is the exclusive content from the 3D collector's set only in 3D (I mean, will I be able to watch the extras on regular 2D tv/blu-ray player).

I pre-ordered that set cause it was actually cheaper on amazon.ca than the regular blu-ray/dvd set. It would suck not to be able to enjoy the extras...

The bonus disc is 3D exclusive for the intended market of the releases I have (which is Northern Europe). I would expect it also applies to the UK and US, as I haven't seen any listings that differ, but that's not to say there could be other disc combinations than the 2-disc and 4-disc.

All content on the bonus Blu-ray disc is 2D.

The source of information on the contents of each release is Fox Home Entertainment. The info is supplied to Foxconnect (part of Fox Home Entertainment) and other retailers. There is probably a UK version of Foxconnect.com that you could check.

The bonus disc will be a regular 2D blu-ray but like some Disney titles it seems Fox has chosen to include the bonus disc only with the 3D release, I have no need for 3D so will just sell that disc and keep the 2D film and bonus disc, will probably end up cheaper than buying just the 2D release.
