I listed JUST the 3D BD + DVD + DC on eBay, with a promise to ship on 10/9. The set sold for $25. After U&S, I guess I get the 2 BD discs for free.

I know, right? I started the bidding at $10, with a $25 Buy-It-Now, thinking no one would do it. Dude snatched up the BIN after 20 minutes. I won't complain.

The opening sequence is breathtaking..., the flesh tone is natural, all the details and colors of close up view of wrinkles, fabric, hair and everything is great... the outdoor scenes of LV-223 are just awesome, all the valleys, mountains, black clouds, they're fantastic... so far I didn't see any picture manipulated... the scenes that I like the most is opening sequence (Iceland) and the orrery scenes... it's just breathtaking really...

Audio Quality 4.5/5
The score from Mark Streitenfeld really help carry us through this marvelous journey (I just love the score... ), the conversations are clearly spot on from the front, the silica sand storm scene is 360 degree surround field and it's just great (...shame that it's just too short) as I listened to the whole movie, everything is just perfect! (may I repeat again? I just love the score... )

But that was just me
Just out of curiosity, what stopped you from giving either a 5?

Actually, I am giving him the artwork. As nice as the packaging looks, seeing all that irrelevant 3D info would bother me. And I figured it would add value. I can make a custom cover.

Thank you for asking
Both PQ and AQ I compare with other reference blu-ray discs

PQ
Average PQ is not razor sharp, there's a clarity in it for sure but it's not quite pristine...

AQ
From what I listened to, when there's sequence that needs attention to, it wasn't as dynamic as I expected and I didn't notice as much of the LFE either, I guess because half of the movie is conversation driven but it gets a lot better the later half of the film
[Show spoiler]especially when the engineer's spaceship crash landed..
...

But again it didn't mean that PQ/AQ wasn't good, it's just shy from PERFECT and also it was just me... someone else might find it as reference material...

I'm guessing you meant both, in which case I agree.

I don't like that DVD cover art much...so glad it's just the DVD cover.

I'm not sure if Dentalboy has the Target edition or not. If so, could it be that they've got a different slipcase to accommodate the exclusive art booklet?

Can you please confirm the region locking on this one? At least what the back cover says? Thanks

Those type of covers are called slipboxes.

It states region A but apparantly he only has a region B player(from UK) and it plays fine. So it would appear to be region free. Makes sense given every other regions version is region free also.

That's it! Thanks.

If the Target exclusive comes in a slipbox, I'll be going for that even though I've already got the full Art of Prometheus book. I'm much more fond of slipboxes than slipcovers. Can anyone who got the Target version already confirm or deny this?
