Target was a bigger joke this morning. The super duper exclusive they offer wasn't even in their ad so I couldn't back up anything with them but they had no copies anyway. I wasn't about to drive all over town for a booklet.
You made my day!!

I have quite a few I'm thinking of getting rid of only because they're DVD's and I'll be getting blu-rays for them eventually....like for example, the Extended Edition of Gladiator, do I just get $5 out of that or more?

Target loves to shoot their own feet, Spider wrap everything.

Quite happy saving a few bucks @ BB. I like the art better on the reg. Slip vs. the slipbox.
It was more reflective, not as flat.

Thankfully I have one Target nearby that doesn't spider wrap anything - so I got a pristine copy. Personally, I think the slipbox is much better looking than the standard slip cover, but to each their own.

Just got the 3D edition at Best Buy.

They had dozens and dozens of copies.

Here is the case compared to a regular Blu-ray case:

It's a fatty.

Oh, I know I will. It'll probably be a while before I bother to watch the film (without any commentaries, etc) again. If this had been a bare-bones release, I doubt I would've been interested.

hahaha love that last sentence, totally reminded me of a random line from "The Golden Girls." I know such a random recollection but it so fits with what you said about traveling all over town for a measly booklet. The episode I am recalling is when Dorothy's sister is going to pay a visit and she is very anxious about it and so the subject of siblings comes up and they start talking about sex and how they would feel if their sibling wrote a book detailing their exploits. So Dorothy says "I would kill Gloria if she ever wrote about my sexual escapades." To which her mother replies "You'd kill your sister over a pamphlet?!!!!" Lmfao I know totally random and off the subject of Prometheus but thought it is funny how such random sentences can cause your brain to recollect something ;-)

Enjoy your upgrade and save purchases!!!

As long as its over $9.99 you're in business. I got rid of the last of my DVDs during the last upgrade and save. They even took a couple of old anamorphic 3D BDs I had.

Amazon shipping trivia: If you use super saver shipping on a preorder (Prometheus) you retain the super saver shipping even though the price has dropped to under $25 before shipping.

EDIT: Did you mean you have an extended edition Gladiator DVD? It is still only good for a $5.00 coupon.

Yes, lousy. This was my last in-store purchase of a Blu-ray. Wasn't worth the hassle just to save a few bucks.

Ummm.....how would you even tolerate watching The Golden Girls? It's funny in some cases, but the fact that it's a show I associate with my ex makes me shun this series in the first place! I hope there's some kind of hammerpede to make all the bad things go away!

My target doesn't use them either. (I've only seen them occasionally on larger boxsets)

I'm watching the 2D version, 1hr18.55 there's pretty bad pixelation on the screen, this continues for the rest of the film,,looks like it wasn't properly coded or something.
Anyone else have this problem?

Well sorry you have bad association with it due to your ex, I understand that it is like a song you hear and it takes you back to who you listened to it with and where you were in life etc. For me though "The Golden Girls" is like a nostalgia thing as it was part of a family thing of sorts always on t.v. Well okay I was the one who wanted to watch it as it always made me laugh, as a kid you laugh at things you sorta understand but then now as an adult it is funnier because you laugh at your child self for not knowing what you laughed at back then as a kid. ;-P

Opted for the 3D version at BB. The Target edition didn't seem worth it to me. Can't wait to revisit this tonight!

Mine is playing perfectly fine. Did you get the latest firmware update? Perhaps your disc has a scratch on it? If it doesn't then I would take it in for a replacement.

Is the 4-disc edition any thicker than a regular BD with a slipcover? Looked at some pics in the haul thread but can't really tell..
