Well okay I was the one who wanted to watch it as it always made me laugh, as a kid you laugh at things you sorta understand but then now as an adult it is funnier because you laugh at your child self for not knowing what you laughed at back then as a kid. ;-P
100% agreed!! I did that with Monty Python and the Holy Grail....I saw it as a kid, tried to understand its meaning, but after I bought the DVD way back when, I saw it again, and I couldn't stop laughing!

It's in a 4-disc case and is slightly thicker than a normal BD.

Amazon shipping trivia: If you use super saver shipping on a preorder (Prometheus) you retain the super saver shipping even though the price has dropped to under $25 before shipping.

EDIT: Did you mean you have an extended edition Gladiator DVD? It is still only good for a $5.00 coupon.
The Best Buy near me easily issued a $5 coupon and right on the coupon (with stapled recycle receipt for the DVD) it says discount to be applied to regular or promotional pricing. Promotional pricing = sales pricing, right? Well, when I attempted to purchase 3D Prometheus, the register would not automatically reduce price from $24.99 to $19.99 ... clerk said ... "oh, it's on sale and this is good only for regular prices....". Cancel transaction please ...

Took the coupon and 3D blu-ray right over to customer service (no wait, thankfully) and they read the coupon, agreed with me, and had to type-in a bunch of junk on the transaction to get the $5 off coupon to work.

Just so you are aware ... don't settle for the pat/easy answers regarding coupons ... it says off promotional pricing ... what more promotional is a 'sales price' ... promotional pricing is rarely HIGHER than the regular price, am i right, or what?

Yes it's thicker. It's the same thickness as the Titanic 3D Blu-ray set.

Despite the huge separate display rack of Prometheus at my local Best Buy, and dominant placement on the front of the racks...myself and 3 other dudes waited for the doors to open all ended up buying...E.T. OK, one guy had both.

hey guys...not to keen on adding to the database, but can someone put in the Prometheus Target Exclusives for both the 2D and 3D versions? I purchased both today I'd like to add those to my collection here. Thanks!

Sorry to keep asking, but any actual confirmation that the booklet for the Target exclusive 2D version is in the BD case?

How good is the Target exclusive booklet really? From what I can tell it's just a few pages long.

Bought the 3D version at BestBuy along with 3 others(robin hood, Nightmare b4 Christmas and ET) and traded in 4 dvds for 5 bucks off each.
First time using trade and save, it was ...interesting.
I hate to sound mean but the stereotypes of clueless employees at BB was spot on in my experience. After waiting in line the customer service person said i needed the blurays at the time for him to do it since he didnt have any hard copy coupon currently, so i can do the trade at the normal register, fine i thought, grabbed the blurays and proceeded as normal but the register guy was clueless, i mean he could hardly express his thoughts in words, it was that bad. How do they get hired at a place like this and get through the interview process? I was able to get him to take the $5 off manually so I got the $20 bucks off but he said he could'nt take the dvds. After 3-4 awkward heavily mouth breathing sentences that's what I figured out.
I thought ..ok... I could just walk out...thanks guy. But i turned them into customer service anyway after the transaction, I'm an honest guy, they didnt open or check them they took the stack and rep said thanks. I dont think many people use this service at my local BB.
So if anyone wants to take advantage of a BB, go to my location, they dont seem to grasp the concept

Target does not use upc. They use dcpi. This is the number I was given but probably will not help you much. Store Item Number (DPCI): 058-36-0180.

I love this movie. Every time I watch it I love it that much more. The reviewer is right, Prometheus is an experience.

It's way more than the sum of it's parts. Bring on the sequels!!

So Dorothy says "I would kill Gloria if she ever wrote about my sexual escapades." To which her mother replies "You'd kill your sister over a pamphlet?!!!!" Lmfao I know totally random and off the subject of Prometheus but thought it is funny how such random sentences can cause your brain to recollect something ;-)

Enjoy your upgrade and save purchases!!!
Always love a Golden Girls quote!

Store Item Number (DPCI): 058-36-0180. Make sure to ask for the target exclusive version. It has a red sticker on the front. I am looking for a copy also.

CE looks nice but I have a feeling this will be available for $20 or under w/o U&S coupon within the next several months so I think I can hold off. Hearing this got a mixxed reaction kinda makes it easier to do so as well

It honestly is too bad that the marketing campaign played up the Alien undertones so much. I felt that the film was hindered only when it tried to bring the Alien elements in. Watching the documentary (amazing by the way and no where near all the way through it) brought up that the original script was basically an Alien retread but Ridley and Fox didn't want to do that. Fox was probably scared because of how poorly the two AVP films were received and Fox pushed to change the name from Alien: Origins to something without Alien in the title, which pushed Ridley to remove a lot of the Alien structure.

A great film that explores creationism. However, it isn't perfect and I would love to see a release with an extended cut of the film. Some of the deleted/alternate sequences are actually much better than the final version, in my opinion.

The alternate meeting
[Show spoiler]of the Engineer and the humans
is a big one in my mind because the theatrical version is almost too quick in execution. The extended scene gives the sequence some chance to breathe and marvel at what is happening.

Another huge one is
[Show spoiler]Fifield attacks
. The Weta CG version is hands-down much better than the practical effects theatrical in this instance. The practical effects make him look like Hector Hammond, whereas the CG version is a meld of human and xenomorph. It's quite creepy and effective.
