What part of that bold underlined portion do you not understand? Thanks for posting a picture of them sitting at a table. It changes nothing that either of us have told you, as we already said they met.

Except the extras for Prometheus mention that Weyland had already detected the signal from the planet in Alien, but made that a lower priority. And if it is true that Scott himself says the derelict crashed 2000 years ago, then the eggs would likely be that old as well.

Once again, I never said that GIGER did design for Prometheus but was involved in it.
You did before you edited your post. At this point I don't give two rips about what you think. Wanna believe we're all in H.R. Giger's mind right now? Fine with me......couldn't care less really.

I'm ready. I hate that we're gonna have to wait at least two years for Paradise, but it gives us something to look forward to.

That's what I said.

When people are saying he was not involved it means the dude never discussed the movie, never saw any freaking designs but he did.

In fact, he pooped on The Engineer design and laughed at it.

Anyway, GIGER is a beast.

I also found this

"The major chain of evolution, of course, involves Shaw and her pregnancy. It begins when David poisons Charlie with some of the aforementioned goo. Following that, Charlie sleeps with Shaw and impregnates her with an early-stage facehugger. Later in the film that same facehugger – which grows much bigger while off-screen – “mates” with an Engineer (who has the same DNA as humanity), who then gives birth to an early-stage xenomorph. These creatures, of course, would evolve further and become the highly-evolved monsters seen Alien. "

How come this creature is not the first ALIEN QUEEN?

Why people saying that this creature is not the first alien? Why?

Who's with me? Who thinks that Xenomorph at the end is the first ALIEN QUEEN ever?

A consultation is not involvement.

It bums me out too, but Giger had very little to do with this flick, apart from the use of his original designs.

I don't think there's enough evidence one way or the other. The murals indicate some Alien existed before that. Whether queen or not, beats me.

in·volved (n-vlvd)
adj.
1. Complicated; intricate: the involved procedure of getting a license. See Synonyms at complex.
2. Curled inward; coiled or involute.
3. Confused; tangled.
4. Connected by participation or association

Giger was none of those. A meeting, where ideas are discussed, but whose ideas are brushed aside and never fully embraced, adopted, or expounded upon, due to time factors, is not "involvement". It is your use of that word and your inability to understand its meaning and what we're explaining to you, that is causing the "failure to communicate".

You know, I've been pretty much trying to catch up on this thread, and in this kind of response from IlGailloMondadori, I'm sorry but the reactions is like trolling....everything discussed from all asepcts, both from the positive and negative, have come up with some kind of thought provoking point of view....in this case, the responses come up as, a lack of a better term, "trolling". Every point made (remember there's no right or wrong answers), the response is very trollish, and those responses made by him have been the only one that's rubbed me the wrong way...I only use this instance because I can see all points to where all comments made can be "Yeah, that can be true..." or "You got a point on that, but..." In IlGaillo's case, I can't stop thinking of "Wow, he/she made a point and your response was that??" I mean, this is meant to discuss the movie on how it was presented, and the questions it raised, and overall the response to the blu-ray and its special features. IlGaillo seems to want to have everyone hate the movie like he did "based on how weak the story was." Yet, the story is INCOMPLETE in the fact that it has TWO OTHER MOVIES coming out to finish the arc! Will it tie into Alien and the franchise? I'm sure it will on the 3RD movie, but we're barely in movie 1....if you don't like it, say your peace and then let the others discuss what's been gathered from EVERYTHING in this release...you don't have to be in here "trolling" about the theses made about what it could mean, what it might mean, and in the end, what it will mean....Sure you have a right not to like it, but not in every response you put to simply demean the movie because of the script....it's meant to be open-ended for discussions that could lead up to very intelligent discussions. Those type of responses after a while just gets old, and I wanted to say THAT to make my point across.
Other than that, I have thoroughly enjoyed the responses thus far!

Giger was confused by the engineer design.

They clearly show a Xenomorph in the movie well before the Deacon.

Love this quote, kind of sums the film up and ties in the whole God/creator idea:

[Show spoiler]Why do the Engineers Want to Destroy the Humans?

Ridley Scott: "If you look at it as an 'our children are misbehaving down there' scenario, there are moments where it looks like we’ve gone out of control, running around with armor and skirts, which of course would be the Roman Empire. And they were given a long run. A thousand years before their disintegration actually started to happen. And you can say, 'Let's send down one more of our emissaries to see if he can stop it.' Guess what? They crucified him."

So in essence, the ship in Prometheus was to be the second coming of Jesus.

The engineer's planet was the 3rd planet in the black hole..
Because of Earth's pollution it sent gravity waves that knocked that planet off of it's axis and slowly it rolled into the black hole.
