Thanks! Great prices. Looks like I'll be picking up Prometheus and ET on the same day.

Look under the Photo section..

Someone over on prometheusnews.net said that during the 4 hour documentary Peter Scalia mentions that the first cut was (2hrs 30min long) a fan edit was made recently with all the scenes put back in and it only totaled (2hr 14min long) so obviously there are scenes that we have not seen yet..
could some of the missing stuff that is not on the actual blu ray disc be on the Second Screen app instead? (I never use stuff like that)

I would like to see an extended cut, so I'm not sure if I should hold out until then (I don't want to double dip)

It could be possible that there will be stuff on the APP that is not on the blu ray.

As for an extended cut it probably won't come out till we get closer to the release date of the sequel..

It will be very appreciated for Russian blu-ray forum.
Thanx.
Russian subtitle is available on the 2D disc, not in the 3D

Go in with an open mind. There will be at least one more film, so don't go in expecting all the answers OR a movie similar to Alien. I think you'll love it!

I have a pre-order for E.T. I'm going to keep because I think it's at $17. That's decent for a re-mastered classic new to blu-ray. But I could use an Upgrade & Save coupon at Best Buy next week if it dropped to $25.
It is 24.99$ for the 3D set on Amazon.ca. 29.99$ for the regular 2D set...

Just saying for the Canadian users!

Anyone need an important body organ? I'm going to need to sell one to afford all the Oct. 9 releases. In addition to Prometheus, I'm getting:

E.T.
Deep Rising
What Ever Happened To Baby Jane
Ice Station Zebra
Red Dawn

phew! It's September 25th all over again

It's just for the digital download of the film.

I thought he played his role of comic relief rather well.

I know this and Aliens are same-what from the same lore... but what would you recommend watching first?

Prometheus followed by Aliens or Aliens followed by Prometheus?

Just wondering?

I would say it honestly doesn't matter what order you watch them in. They are very different films. If you go in thinking you want to watch Aliens first to prepare for Prometheus, you might be a little caught off guard.

I treat Prometheus as a new Science Fiction film that just so happens to take place in the same universe as the Alien films, and I absolutely loved.

I'm assuming you mean all the Alien films, or at least the first two, when you say "Aliens" (and not just the sequel titled Aliens).

In that case, you must not have seen Alien yet?

If so, watch that first. There is nothing like experiencing that movie for the first time with no idea what to expect.

Prometheus first, definitely. The fewer preconceived notions you have about Prometheus going into it for the first time, the better.
