That's certainly one of the biggest selling points for me. I was mixed on the movie and I've found discussions about the movie to be more entertaining than the movie itself. For me, the documentary is the real feature here and the movie acts more as a supplement.

As a rule, I'm not a big extras guy, but I had some questions that hopefully will at least be partially answered. This is a no brainer for me to buy the 3D version.

So it was a purposeful deal to offset an advertising error re the digital copy.
Funniest thing is target does it all the time. Many times they say in the ad a movie comes with a digital copy and it does not. I am guessing that target only lowered the price of the avengers because of the popularity of the film.

If someone receives the US 4-Disc Combo (Blu-ray 3D Feature Film + Blu-ray Feature Film + Blu-ray Bonus Features Disc + DVD) and can test and confirm that all 3 Blu-ray discs will play on a region B machine, that would be great (dvdworldusa lists it as Region Free, but after writing to them earlier today, they said 'I don't believe that we tested the extras disc (and obviously the DVD will be region 1), but the 3D and 2D movie discs are region-free.')

Most probably the bonus Blu-ray is Region Free, but with Fox you have the occasional bad surprise (the extended edition of Avatar (BD), Season 7 of 24 (Disc 1 was region A, 2 to 6 were Region Free).

Future Shop's (Canada) flyer says you can get $5 off the 2D or $10 off the 3D if you give them any old DVD

Hmm, I wondered if Canada would get that same deal. Now the question is do I stick with my $24.99 amazon.ca order and have this delivered straight to my work, or drive down to the nearest store on Tuesday and save 5 bucks?

Also, goddamn is that floating heads DVD cover the worst. Not that I've ever seen an awesome floating heads poster, but still.

haha well...
Avengers answered a lot of questions for me. Prometheus was fantastic AND it left me wanting more. I only saw it once in theaters and can't wait to dive into the extras.

Most definitely. Avengers was great and I enjoyed it but it's got nothing on Prometheus . I'm excited about every aspect of this release - the slipcover, the artwork, the menu, the movie, the 3D, the audio, the deleted scenes, both commentaries (something which I usually listen to when I'm bored. With Prometheus, I can't wait to listen to them), the special features, the second screen app, reading the scripts on it, and not to mention discussing the movie on this forum after watching it again at home where I can pay attention to the smaller details.
So yeah, it's got nothing on Prometheus .

Agreed. I'm more excited for the Prometheus Blu-ray than the Avengers. To be honest since it's October (Horror movie marathon month) I haven't even opened the Avengers yet. Though I'll be heading straight from work to BB and then home to watch (Will be my 3rd time seeing it) Prometheus next Tuesday...

Any chance they'll lower the price of the 3D, 4-Disk Combo Pack to $19.99?

They are taking their sweet time in posting this review aren't they? Not that I need it to help make my decision as to whether I buy it or not. I just need to kill some time between now and Tuesday.

uh this was the only Alien movie were there WAS much to it.

All of the other were just slasher variations of the first.
And direct prequels are boring as you know the ending.

The people who didn't like it just want more of the same
Alien Ressurection, AVPR nonsense
