Hate to ask this again since it has probably been discussed a hundred times before but is it 100% sure that the movie is region free? Very tempted to get the 4-disc version!

Just heard from a friend that only the 4 disc limited release has the deleted scenes. Is there any truth to this?.

Does anyone know if the play.com exclusive Prometheus steelbook will be region locked or not ? .. For the Amazon.fr release, I think the 2D version is region-free, but the 3D version is only region B and C compatible .. :/

Also, is there any steelbook being release anywhere which will be region A compatible ?

Quick 3D questions if anyone knows...

When (if) 3D goes glasses free on a home theater scale, will it utilize the same 3D blu-ray technology we use now or would it need a new type of 3D disc? I ask because I thought about selling off the 3D disc because I have no interest in 3D with glasses at home. But if I can use the same disc in the future glasses free, I want to hang on to it.

Just received mine.

Slight problem with the 3D disc: it won't play on my PC. I get a message saying "Your Blu-ray Player required an update in order to play this disc. Please visit your Blu-ray manufacturer's website and follow their instructions to update your Blu-ray Player."

I have checked the website and they say there are no updates for it, I also checked in Device Manager and it could not find any updates either. What the hell is going on ?

My plasma is also ready. It's all lubed up and ready go. Metaphorically speaking of course.

Too bad I only have a 42 inch. On the plus side though, it's a Panny.

Looks like we all think alike!! Come Tuesday, Prometheus will be it out on my Panny plasma 55" VT30 and blowing my walls down. This kind of film demands a plasma display!

Yes, glasses-free 3D utilizes the same 3D blu-ray format.

Everybody and their Pannys - f yeah!

I'll be watching this on my 55'' ST50 (got it for $1k in January from Amazon - free 2 day shipping, white glove service, etc.) - I do dig the 3D from time-to-time.

I seriously cannot wait to watch this film again. It's easily my favorite of the year.
