The bonus blu ray disk is in 2D
It just comes with the Collector's Edition pack that includes the 3D

think of it this way better spend the extra dollars then you would spend grabbing the extra's at a taco bell its actually something your keeping.
but i do agree with the fact that it kind of sucks that the marketing scheme is you purchase the 4 disc set, in order to gain the 8 hours of Behind The Scenes!

Wrong, as the same coupon can be used on the 2D version making it 14.99

I guess I should clarify. I AM getting the 3d collector edition. I already own the art book but I'm trying to find out if target is selling the book edition in a different "slip book" case as opposed to the standard slip case. After all, if I'm going to own a 3d collector set to watch on a 1080i 2d Sony 60 inch, I might as well go all out and spend the most money on it, right? I guess I just answered my own question, just curious to see what most people are thinking/doing.

I guess I have a busy morning Tuesday. Before heading into work, gotta swing by Target and get the regular Prometheus version with the booklet, and then go to Best Buy and use the upgrade and save coupon to purchase the E.T. digibook. Fun times.

The only difference between them are:

-Price
-Slip case instead of a cover... Instead of pulling it off vertically, you do it horizontally.
-The Art Book sampler.

Yes, I said a release. I was implying most new releases are $19.99. You're correct though. 2d is $14.99

Thanks! That settles it... Trip to target for Prometheus with different cover and book for 8 bucks more than Best Buy. Then, take trip to Best Buy to buy new KISS cd for 2 dollars more than Target because it has an extra song on it at BB. I can't win for losing!

Just to let you know, you are paying for $8 more for a version with a book that you have and it comes with the same exact cover...

Watched this with the wife on-demand last night after cancelling my Amazon pre-order.

Glad I did cancel as while the film looks stunning there's just no substance (imho) and the dialogue was worse than I remembered from the cinema. I guess I'll be owning this down the line but only when it's much cheaper. The film has utterly underwhelmed me twice now, I can wait for the third time...

Sorry to be a misery-guts but I SO wanted to like it and really wanted my initial opinion to be wrong. At the end of the day, for me, it's just an average sci-fi actioner with ideas well above it's station.

Um.. I guess yeah, sideways. But you dont get the inner vertical slip cover with the blu-ray case.
